The new Moon will be going through my 12th house on December 29th, 2016.
I didn’t think much of it before – nothing much seemed to happen in there before (was that really the case?!), and I thought to myself: What a waste of a new Moon. Much to do about nothing. But last night I realized what it likely means for me.
Recently I’ve been studying non-violent communication, and going through YouTube video workshops held by Marshall Rosenberg.
I had not been getting along with someone close to me. Our communication had been passive-aggressive/aggressive, and getting nowhere, but I didn’t know how to get through it. Then in comes my sociology professor. She introduced Mr. Rosenberg (my saving grace) to the class.
Oddly, there was an actual toy giraffe issue between myself and this person I had not been getting along with. They had my toy, and I wanted it back but there didn’t seem to be any good way to get it back.
Then as I was watching the YouTube videos I realized Mr. Rosenberg uses the Giraffe, and Jackal animals to describe non-violent and violent communication styles.
Ah-ha. THIS is what I need to learn. The toy was trying to tell me/us!
This toy represented my late husband, with his super long neck on his 7 foot frame. He being a Pisces — well things are getting clearer now. Moon in 12th house is like Moon in Pisces!

Lessons Learned
And in comes the new Moon in the 12th on December 29th. Maybe *finally* I will learn how to communicate non-violently. With Aries on my 3rd house cusp, if I get into any kind of petty or low brow argument – the gloves are off. But non-violent communication is right up my 9th house Libra cusp alley – especially with Jupiter inside.

Opposites. Men (Aries/Mars/Sex) opposite Women (Libra/Venus/Love) My thought about men and women, in romantic relationships… men don’t stay with or love a woman, for the sex. Yes, they tend to want, or have sex on the mind more than women (in general, no absolutes here) but here’s the kicker – you’ll get a woman to stay with you / love you for the sex — GREAT sex. A man’s Mars! Saturn (Capricorn/Libra), Pluto (Scorpio). What keeps a man, to a woman? Your love. Venus Rx… Often unexpectedly… An ex lover dies, or returns. A woman dies. A friendship ends. Break-up’s and break-in’s occur. Beauty dissolves. Beauty problems. Money comes and goes. I had a major break with the 2012 Venus Rx in Libra, and I lost someone special during the 2013 retrograde in Capricorn and someone else very important to me, in the 2015 Venus Rx in Leo. Look for anything “Exact”… within a degree, and that means exact on a house cusp or exactly conjuncting a point, planet, or other celestial object to see if there will be any great impact and how it will. So, while everyone will have some Venusian thing taken away or given back to them, their personal natal horoscope describes exactly what that is.

A foreigner is anyone that is vastly different from your roots. As in either literally marrying someone over the pond, or perhaps economically or socially on the other side of the tracks.
I was thinking about my relationship with foreigners, and I realized that my 9th house has been quite active. I have Libra on my 9th house cusp using Placidus, so Venus rules it. And I have Jupiter in Libra, in my 9th house cusp. Venus is in my 8th house, conjunct Moon and Pluto.
For me, this means I fall deeply in love with foreigners (Venus on the 9th) and I would probably marry one or more (Jupiter in Libra). I would most definately teach (Jupiter) foreign friends (Venus) occult matters (Venus in the 8th). With Uranus being on the cusp of the 9th, but not in the 8th (unless using Koch, Equal or whole signs are used), I can have “love at first sight”, as well as “unusual foreign meetings and teaching” or teaching unfamiliar methods or knowledge, one-on-one.
Even when using other house systems, I still have a lot of planets that function in the 9th house and in those cases — Mercury would be on the cusp. So there’s a whole lot of analytical chatting going on with foreigners. This is another reason why I publish online, as my system knows I can reach out to more foreigners!!

I was out for a cycle this morning, and I was thinking about how many people want free things from me when what I have to offer has value. They don’t seem to stop and think about how they can give back to me. And let me tell you, I’m not one of those people who need to give “more” and watch for the return later. No. I give now, and a lot. My lot in life is to learn to say no, and turn people away. I’m quick to give, without thought of reward. So that little “give more, it will come back to you” is for the many, who do not.
Anyway, as I was thinking about who has really given to me and worked for what I can, have, and do give them — there’s few and far between. My bestie says that people have a propensity to “rape” someone kind, and helpful. He’s a triple Aries, so his language is a bit aggressive / impactful at times.
As I was cycling and thinking about all this, I heard these lyrics come on my music player. As a Venus trine Saturn, who works for the love of others, I thought to myself — I bet Bruce has Venus-Saturn harmoniously aspected. And sure enough he does. Well, he has the sextile!

Bruce also has Venus square Pluto. I have Venus conjunct Pluto.
Now, Springsteen also has Jupiter in Capricorn so that also contributes to how important it is that he works for what he loves, and that he respects and is responsible. This Jupiter quintiles his Venus. Venus and Saturn energy is very strong in Bruce’s life. Pluto too.

The Astrology of Menstrual Periods: Moon-Pluto, the Cole’s / Cliff’s Notes
(Current transits: Sun in Gemini (communications). Moon in Scorpio (Pluto). My current transits: Moon in the 10th. Moon-Pluto. LOL… I didn’t check this until AFTER I finished the article.)
A woman’s monthly, if Aunt Flow is still visiting, can be a difficult yet wonderful time for a woman.
The Moon and Pluto rules menstruation, and that means:
Pluto (Scorpio): blood, darkness, mystery, anger, intensity, pain, renewal, elimination, death, and life, new beginnings, sexual organs, reproductive system
Moon and Pluto can form different aspects, and so too women have different experiences with their bleeding cycle for better or worst, but always transformational.
Not everyone has Moon and Pluto aspecting; however, if it were aspecting — what would it be most closely aspecting? This can give an idea as to what type of period may be had.
The squares are frustrated, and block. The opposites vacilitate from one end to the other, in a flash — depending on what provoked. Conjunctions can be good or bad, but either way — they’re powerful. The trines are easy, peasy, lazy, and introverted. The sextiles are active, energetic, and extroverted. Read semi’s too. Semi just means half the time, when activated, or less of an effect. I have Moon conjunct Pluto, in the 8th house. I have good and bad periods. When they’re good, they’re Really good — and in fact, I LIKE having my periods. I even feel a little sexier, and a little more creative too. But when they’re bad, they’re really BAD. This is when a good partner, can bank some get out of jail, for free, cards.
While Pluto deals with painful experiences, it’s brother — Mars is the cause of inflammation so Pluto causes painful inflammation. And so the antidote is Venus! Chocolate, love, good food and wine, friendship, sweetness, relaxing, art, music, and justice, etc.
I would like to speak for all women here; however, I’ll just tell you what makes me happier, healthier, and a little more in love with you:
1. Ask me what I need, to feel better.
2. Rub my back / give me massage. Internal massages are good too — we’re talking Pluto here: from the inside, out and vice versa!
3. Get me soothing drink or tea, chocolate, or food that helps reduce inflammation and pain
4. Offer some soothing chat, or an anti-inflammatory drug or herb.
3. Draw me a bath, and put on some soothing music. And since the opposite is the antidote: A hot water bottle as Pluto and Moon are COLD. :) Venus/Taurus likes things warm.
4. Don’t argue with me. I’m in pain. It’s like having a huge wood splinter stuff up your penis, or having a heavy item on your toe. It’s even more tortuous when it comes and goes (contractions, cramps).
5. Don’t antagonize me. Don’t tell me, oh you’re on “the rag”. If you think that will make me happier, um. No! LOL
6. Flowers, and sweet smells are nice too.
If you don’t have a beautiful partner, you can do these things for yourself.
The quicker this is happening, the less time you’ll / she’ll be in pain. So get to it!
By the way: Any anger or sadness a woman normally feels, or things she is pissed off or emotional about, may erupt when she’s in pain. It’s nothing new either, she just can’t deal with the pain AND concealing her annoyance or disturbance at the same time. That’s the Moon at work. And she usually doesn’t like this either! Especially if she likes to come across as a strong, and independent woman (like myself).
Further tips:
Track her cycle so you have an idea of when she’ll be in pain, and when she’s feeling more emotional. Doing this will also let you know when she’s more fertile and more into you, and when to plan for trips or doing anything more active or remote.
Online dating can be a killer — literally, and figuratively.
These days, online dating attracts a lot of men and women with difficult love, and sex natures. Liars and cheaters, are a plenty. And there’s quite a few emotionally, physically, and mentally dis-eased that will really put you through the ringer, if you don’t take care.

Warning bells
Here are some example Deal breakers, in my book. And I’ll add my little quips, as time goes on.
Venus square Pluto Jealous, manipulative, subversive, under cover obsession, insecure. Giving you the love drug, that can only be got from them. Be aware, from the get-go. They’ll make their problems, yours. Giving you everything you ever wanted, at a price. You’ll be intoxicated by them, and don’t ever leave them or revenge (often silent, and can be deadly) is on its way.
Venus opposite Pluto Love, hate. War of the roses. When you’re together, it’s all good but if you ever break up, you’ll experience the hate. A hate you never fathomed they could feel for you. And it will feel extreme, because it’s so out of character. Even if your synastry dissolves or balances out their Venus opp Pluto, once you’ve broken up — they go right back to THEIR chart alone. And now they’re in survival, and self-protection mode. Beware.
Venus square Saturn This can go either way. On the more positive side, it can mean that the person likes a 7+ year age difference, and that might be okay for them, but somehow still cause some friction or overcoming of obstacles to get there. On the warning side — this person can not love. So be sure to invest as little emotionally, as you will, at the get-go or not at all. It will take them a long time, if ever to warm up to you and share their love. There will be crises around an old appearance,etc. and the relationship may never get off the ground.
Venus opposition Saturn You’ve got a great partner, if Venus and Saturn are aspected. But with the opposition, you get a: Now I’m with you, and now I won’t. This native promises to love you, shows you affection, and then takes it away. What you can be left with is cold confusion. And to be fair, the native is just as confused, and also afraid of commitment. They pull back, when things get hard. And they pull back when things are sweet. You will have to have much patience with this person, and bank on it never working out, in the end unless they’re going to do something about their vacillation. Sometimes they want commitment, and sometimes they don’t. The best find is Venus trine, sextile, or even a conjunction to Saturn. These natives accept, and often expect love and relationships to be work, and will work at it for years to come. In some cases, the opposition might reflect a desire for a much younger, or much older partner. Again, one can have their cake and eat it too. Either find a partner who is old, but young at heart. Or young, but old at heart. The oppositions are about integration. I have been doing a little research on this aspect, and I have found it Doing research on love / attachment styles. Watch for Venus opposition Saturn, and Uranus. Need for closeness vs freedom. DISMISSIVE style. Ask them take the quiz to find out if they’re a Dismissive type partner. Mars square Pluto Are you in for a beating? Verbal, physical, spiritual, emotional or otherwise? These guys and gals can be mean and cold, and make you “pay for it”. It is whatever transgression they think you did, not what you actually did, that will get you into hot water. And are you prepared to submit to an insatiable, and possibly out of norm sexual romp on rough and tumble rocks? This native is going to want to dominate you, to be sure. And not in a nice way.
Mars opposite Pluto No, you can not win with this one. Be prepared to do their bidding. They don’t respect what you want. Only what THEY want. Are you prepared for psychological warfare, that you didn’t see coming? Figuratively, you’ll feel like you were given the date rape drug.
Mars square Neptune They may have an STD, or other partner, major prospect, or love interest they’re not telling you about. They may even cheat on you sexually. But you sure will be in sexual ecstasy — the kind that goes bad, really bad after the dirty deed is done. The kind that makes you want to shower on end. They could be addicted to something that will bring you down in the end. Everything in excess: Drugs, sex, alcohol, and rock and roll. These are your wannabe rock-stars. Want to be a wannabe groupie? And at the end of the day, you might not even get into the promised land hotel room anyway.
Mars opposite Neptune They could fake an orgasm, or lie to you about who else they’re dating.
Pay attention to what houses the planets are in. Is their Mars in the 5th or 7th house or the 3rd or 12th? It will tell you a lot about where and how they manifest these energies.
Lesser effect
These are things to watch out for, but may not be deal breakers.
Moon square Pluto Their emotions are damaging. If it’s a guy, they have mommy / woman issues. They’re unlikely to be a feminist or pro women. They can cut you up, and toy with your emotions — making you feel unworthy, and dirty.
Moon opposite Pluto This one will attempt to manipulate your emotions. At first they’ll collect your feelings, and experiences and coddle you out of the wazzoo. But if you ever do anything to “hurt them”, they’ll use what they learned against you.
Venus square Jupiter They skimp out on love, and cuddles. Don’t expect a lot of, “I love you’s”. These guys and gals are single for a long time, and it’s because they block love. They detract. They’re not sweet. They have an aversion to being lovey dovey. And they can cheat on you romantically.
Venus opposite Jupiter When they love you, it’s over the top. But when they’re not in love with you, but everyone else in the world — yuck, that’s hard to swallow! So keep pulling him back to his or her home turf.
Venus trine Jupiter You can bet this one has a lot of admirers, with no work at all. Unless they have other good aspects, like Venus trine Saturn, watch out. You may have a cheater on your hands. Or you’ll worry too much that they will. These folks can be the Ludus type, playful lovers.
Venus sextile Jupiter If the opportunity presents themselves to shower you with love, like your birthday, they will. They can also attract admirers, but they have to work at it. Keep them happy, and they’ll be loyal to you. These folks can be the Ludus type, playful lovers.
Venus square Neptune They never pick the “right ones,” for them. And you’re not it either. Sorry. So you’ll have to work on making yourself VERY real from the get-go, and not letting them fall into fantasy land. You may not know if what you’re experiencing is real love. And when you feel real love, you may hide it. Or you may pretend that you don’t love them. Or the opposite. This is a tough one to have. Causes much confusion, and uncertainty.
Venus opposite Neptune They thought you were “the one”, but then you do something that turns them off to the reality of imperfection. It’s not you; it’s them. Remind them about how truly “magical” you are, together.
Mars square Uranus These guys and gals get shockingly mad, in a flash. It’s startling. If you’re not the type to agitate, you may be okay. The flame will likely die down, as quickly as it rose. But if you’re a trouble maker yourself, avoid this one.
Mars opposite Uranus
Venus square Uranus They have no problems breaking up with you, in a flash. Don’t give your heart out to this one. Anyway, they usually do you a favor in that they’re not the type you can get close to very easily anyway. But you’re at your own peril, if you push it. Watch out for long distance relationships. These types look for that sort of thing, and it won’t be good for you. An LDR that happens out of the blue, may be okay, but not when they have this aspect. In synastry it can be fine such as one of you being traveling in your work, but it’s also something to pay attention to.
Venus opposite Uranus The on and off again romance. Now you see me, now you don’t. Love at a distance. Love close, at hand. These natives, are unsure of what they want. Do they want love (Leo), or freedom (Aquarius)? Sometimes they’re like a Venus Aquarius, and other times a Venus in Leo. You don’t know whether to be warm and fuzzy with them, proclaiming your love or cool and distant, having some cool and analytical friendly conversations. The oppositions need to learn that they can have BOTH, but they need to harmonize, and sympathize with their partner. Your prospective date might be the DISMISSIVE style. Something to think about
Venus square or opposite Chiron Love does not heal them. Love hurts them, and you’re the lover that’s going to or is hurting them.
Mercury square Mars They’re ornery. Not very kindly. You’re going to get a lot of negative chatter out of this one. They especially don’t get along well with men, in conversation.
Mercury square Saturn They are not good at keeping secrets or serious conversation. Bad combo.
Mercury square Venus They especially don’t know how to get along with women, in conversation. They’re communication style is irritating, and not smooth.
Moon square Venus They don’t know how to comfort you.
Venus square Mars They can easily fight or cause friction with their partner. They don’t have a good handle on their yin and yang.
Venus opposition Mars They don’t have a good handle on what they want, out of relating.
With Saturn it either means the thing will get off the ground, or it won’t. Not much to worry about there, at the start. But down the road, Saturn is the “glue” as they say. I’m sorry dear reader if you have any of these aspects, and I’ve painted your dating and romance life, poorly. I’ve noted the “dark” side of challenging aspects, and not how they can be overcome or be positive. It takes a very well-adjusted, self-improvement oriented person, to get beyond these aspects. And for those that don’t have these aspects, but see them in your prospect — they may have overcome the challenges, but what if they haven’t? Do you want to spend time fiddling with their issues? If I have the time or inclination, I can tell you how to find someone compatible to you online. A little tip, for now: Sun, Venus, in good aspect, and in synastry are good ideas. So if your Sun is a Taurus, search for a Venus Virgo, Taurus, Capricorn, Scorpio, Pisces, or Cancer. How do you do that, since Sun signs are all that are shown? Each planet takes awhile to get into gear, and you take into account the preferred Sun sign of your partner too. So there are only so many Virgo Suns with Scorpio Venus in the age range you desire to date. So you check the ephemeris for the years you want to check, and find that combination or Venus. An easier way may be looking at a past loves good Venus, and using their year of birth to find the one for you online. You can change up the Sun sign with that too.
And if you can find out their Moon, that is helpful too. So if your Venus is in Aries, search for a partner with a Moon in Sag, Leo, or Aries — which can be just as good as a Sun connection, though not as powerful. Moons in the same element, or exact same sign are amazing for feeling secure. A Moon synastry conjunction is quite powerful. As powerful as the Sun!

Look to these planets, signs, and houses, in your own chart to see what your own hoarding perspective. Know of someone you think hoards? Look to see if any of these planets aspect in a challenging way, such as Moon square Saturn, Venus opposite Pluto, Moon conjunct Pluto, etc…
I was thinking about hoarding… Whose to say one person’s junk, is another’s trash? What about one person’s junk, is another’s treasure?
I have a friend that saves those tv dinner, microwave plates. I mean hundreds of them! I was thinking how society would think that was a recyclable / junk / trash; however, I got to thinking: They must value this plate. Then I looked at the plate. And it was pretty sturdy, black, and looked like it could be used again and again. But my friend has enough plates, so they’re just keeping them. Stacked high. For years.
I said, “these plates over here are pretty good.”. And they said all happily, “yeah, I have a whole bunch of them, but I don’t know what they could be used for.” And I said, “I could see them being used for mixing stuff in… like paints. Maybe a children’s center could use them.” And they said, “yeah, I thought they might have some use, so I keep them. I should look into that.”
The moral of this story is: Who are we to judge someone for the things they own? Do you even know why the person keeps what they do? What’s THEIR story? Because their story, probably isn’t yours. My friend values these plates.
On the surface a lot of things are going to look senseless to us. So I say: Ignore it, or ask about it. And if the person wants to tell you their story, you’ll probably be pretty surprised. Enrich your life, through difference.
Now, the idea of clinical hoarding is that it’s affecting your life: Work, home, and personal relationships (including the one you have with yourself). If you’re not happy or you’re being stopped from doing something, and your hoarding is causing it – that’s when talk therapy is helpful. Talk therapy discovers WHY you’re doing what you’re doing, in case you don’t know. And it works at lightening up your load.
Right now, I don’t think these plates are bugging my friend. But what do I know? Nothing, really. And that makes me think of the extreme minimalists. Why do they value having nothing? I guess if society would choose between hoarding, and modesty — they’ll go for modesty so that makes minimalism more acceptable. But I think minimalism can have its own problems too.
At the end of the day, I think the majority of us just want to live and die in peace. So I support anyone, and anything that accomplishes that goal.
Also, often if you’re paying attention to someone “hoarding”, it probably makes you uncomfortable because you’re uncomfortable with your *own* hoarding, even if no one can see you doing it. Judgements are quite often just projections, in disguise.
Especially for #Leos. And then Aries Sagittarius Gemini Libra, and Aquarius. Yes, half the zodiac. This is how it rolls.
Dates to watch out for, for Leos: June 6 to July 18 when Venus is in Leo. This is when we will look especially attractive to others, and receive favors.
Then when it retrogrades back into Venus LeoAug 1 to Sept 6, an old love may visit, email, or call, we may get back together with an ex, or break-up / separate with a current love. So if you met someone in June, or July but nothing clicked — when August and early September rolls around, you could get together for real. Alternatively, if you meet someone in June and July and it clicked… you may be separated or the relationship ends in August / September.

After watchingFrequencies / OXV: The Manual (a philosophy / outlook I believe in and talk a lot about in small dosages… it’s along the thinking style shared in my article: The Prison Planet), I thought about what makes one person’s speech resonate on a higher level than anothers.
I think different words, have a different vibrations and therefore a different impact and response to them, once heard or read. I also believe that words are magical, and are supposed to be used for magic making (incantations / spells); however, eventually language got into the hands of the world’s people but they had to be taught to not make much use of it. This is why a lot of people don’t have much to say, nothing original, meaningful, etc…Most of us have been dumbed down (Tower of Babylon) to avoid provoking a meaningful spell on the world’s people. We’re in language lock-down.
I thought of writing out the same idea with different words. I mean, there can be 100+ words that mean the same thing but have a different impact. So which of the following sentences (that essentially mean the same thing) have a higher or lower frequency? And I use the word frequency within the context of physics or astronomy — how you “feel”, and after hearing or reading something.
Which sentence leaves a lasting impression, or quickest and most forceful impact of meaning? This illustrates higher and lower frequency in speech, and therefore in how you interact with another human being.
I fancy wellness. I like happiness. I enjoy eudaemonia. I appreciate comfort. I espouse strength.
What we say, and how we string our words together — matters. Not so much the words in and of themselves but the sound vibration and level of frequency. And this is why self-talk, and CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) affects us greatly. When we speak, it matters.
While I use English words, consider the sounds of other languages. French is known as the romantic language, and I find Egyptian Arabic to have a soothing sound to it, when spoken by women. What I’m saying here is that the sound or look of the word can mean more than the words.
Christmas is derived from Saturnalia, a pagan holiday where Saturn gives gifts to his prisoners.
A lot of people pass away during December and January. From an astrological perspective, December is the month of Sagittarius (Jupiter) and Capricorn (Saturn). It’s my belief that Saturn (Satan, the Devil, Santa) is the overseer of planet Earth. Jupiter is a lucky, giving planet. Together, they are the Cornucopia of delight. Christmas is a pagan, Saturnalia holiday — a week long holiday of lawlessness and of course, we know Saturn is about social law! We are honoring Saturn, the warden of this planet, during this time. And as humans, we “play out” this myth with one another by giving gifts and forgiving sins, etc. It’s called Astrodrama. That is what Saturn is doing with us now: Giving us gifts, and forgiving our sins.
Man’s number is six, because the devil’s number is 666. I believe death is a “release” or relief from this prison planet but we’re programmed to survive to live out our sentence.
Death is a gift, from Saturn and Jupiter. It’s the one’s that are left behind to suffer the horror of such a great loss in their lives. Yeah, this is a horror show for anyone paying attention. *dry Capricornian chuckle* But I take peace in knowing that my dear loved ones, gone to heaven (space that has no time or physical boundaries) are happy, spiritually alive, and well. And we’ll reunite again.
Someone very important to me passed (was released) on December 24th. His suffering is over. Mine/Ours continues. But what an amazing day to go. Note: I’m heterosexual, and this article is written with a personal blog perspective. While my writing could be applied to all forms of relating, this is what I know best and I tend to enjoy writing from experience.
Ask yourself these two questions:
Do you want the relationship you’re currently in, or to be in one?
Do you want to love the person you’re with, or be in love?
What are you (Aries) doing about it, to create and loving and vibrant relationship (Libra) for you and your person of interest?
The first question I’ve asked — asks for a commitment (Libra), and dedication (Taurus). The second question asks for vulnerability (Aries), and passion (Scorpio). Yes, a healthy Aries is vulnerable because they’re strong.
If you’ve noticed, I haven’t asked about having sex (Mars).
Frankly, I strongly believe (and astrology indicates this) if you don’t have #1 and #2 (Venus) first, then having #3 (Mars) is often a sure disaster. And while some people believe it takes a long time to love someone, I don’t agree. But I do think it can take a long time to see if someone is compatible, but that’s the logic side of Libra — not love (Taurus).
To be personal, I had sex fairly quickly (within two weeks) with my ex husband but we then became joined at the hip and we were together for 10 years. But the most important thing I discovered was that #1 — he wanted to be in a relationship AND #2 — he loved me rather quickly (love at first sight), so it made sense to have #3.
These days it seems like a lot of guys want to skip #1 and #2 for themselves, and go straight to #3 (Mars) BUT expect YOU to do #1 and #2 (Venus) all on your own. Waaaaa?? LOL Yeah buddy, it doesn’t work that way. Good try though. LOL
They don’t want to commit because it’s like a dating buffet out here on the internet and they’re abusing the nonsensical friends with benefits (fwb) arrangement aka FREE SEX. And they don’t want to be vulnerable, unless or in place of you being vulnerable because… eh, I haven’t figured that one out yet. Anyone know??
But the full package is Venus and Mars. That’s Venus combined with Mars. Venus without Mars, and Mars without Venus is not a full romantic relationship — it’s sex or it’s friendship but it’s not both.

Not even the proverbial fwb person is really a friend. Why? Because at it’s core, this arrangement lacks respect. And your true friend will respect you, and vice versa. So if you’re respecting (2nd house – Taurus) yourself, your friend, and vice versa — you’re not having an fwb situation. Fwb is a misnomer. Yes, Venus is related to friendship and Mars is related to sex BUT if the man REALLY likes you (the logic part of Libra) — he’ll want more than just sex with you. He’ll want you all to himself (Aries). And he’ll focus on Love (Taurus), and commitment(Libra). Fwb lacks love. Fwb is missing something. Fwb is seriously flawed, and like an aberration. Fwb is more of an Aquarius, 11th house, Uranian thing. An acquaintance. Fwb is a Mars-Uranus arrangement, that leaves the female (Venus) out of the picture. Her Venusian wants, and desires are left out of the equation. Uranian energy is discordant, and the fwb arrangement is inconjunct to Venus (Taurus) even though it appeals to a side of Venus (Libra trines Aquarius).

Horary question. Horary is similar to tarot, and acts as an oracle of sorts. As a student of horary, I do not yet feel comfortable in using this astrological oracle for a fee; however, I am happy to answer one yes or no question for free. Your mileage may vary! Having said that, I have studied horary for over 400 hours, 200 charts, and 2 months. So I do know a thing or two about this highly principled method.
Electional question: This astrological field of study is related to when it’s the best time to do something. Ideally it’s good if you have an idea of a number of time periods when you would like to accomplish something successfully and then I’ll let you know if that’s a good time and what’s going on, in the cosmos, at that time.
Horary answers your question. Horary loves answering a yes or no question. However, horary can offer an explanation and detail around your question. Horary can also provide advice. Horary is very rule based. You and I must follow its rules, for an accurate judgement (answer) to occur. And coolest thing ever – it doesn’t require a human being’s birth details!! The birth details are that of the question!
Horary is similar to getting a tarot reading; however, it is a) finite, b) takes more time and effort to answer one question, but then you get a lot more out of it too, and c) the judgement is final – you can only ask your question once – no fooling this oracle!
You’ve really got to be brave and bold to receive a horary answer, because the results are often in-your-face brutal! No Neptunian (tarot) wishy washy, sugar coating (by the way, I love tarot — I wrote a book on it). This is SATURN’s domain! Harsh. Inflexible. Testing. Taunting. Taming. Teaching.
Horary results, as what I find with astrology (in general), are destiny based. So while you might have a small amount of free will — I believe that freewill is finite. If astrology wasn’t destiny based, I think the whole concept of it — would collapse.
As a side note: I took up horary when Urania made a partile conjunction to my natal Urania. Or was that the time she presented me with the situation that would plummet me into horary (I’ll check again later)? The last time she did that, I delved very deeply into natal and synastry astrology. After lamenting over a failed and distressing life event — Tweeter, LouiseOfArabia suggested that I do a horary reading; thank you. But I knew NOTHING about how to read with horary, and frankly it seemed like a daunting and timely endeavor (it is) that I never seemed to make time or energy for. Well, as with what happened last time — I was plunged into it. Of note, I finished my major studies of horary as I began them — on the Moon in Gemini around 18° — which is the Moon & ° of the native of said life event. And it is a full Moon, tomorrow. Ha! Everything happens for a reason. No coincidences in astrology or life! Just can’t make this stuff up!!
And in both cases, it helped me find closure to the distressing events! Go Astrology!!!! :D And *bow* to the cosmos.
Please excuse my Saturn
While I’m a professional astrologer, I’m a student of Horary. As of December 16, 2013 (Almost full Moon Gemini, now @ 18°53’28” – declination 19°33’07” *)- I’ve spent the last two months, over 200 charts, and over 400 hours studying horary. It is NOT simple or easy – at least not for me. It’s very Saturnian, and rule based. Not a lot of winging it, is accepted or helpful. Horary is traditional (Saturn) astrology, and not the modern (Uranus) kind, that I usually practice. I will likely make mistakes. Take my judgement with a grain of salt. It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged; however, I’ve written a lot — mostly over on my Twitter page.
Healing and Resolving the Opposition aspect: Do one or the other in the extreme and then have the other planet as back-up support and eventual outcome!
Example
Neptune Opposition Saturn.
Neptune, ruling Pisces, is the planet of delusion, romance, fantasy, magic, drugs, being drugged, diversions, etc.
Saturn, ruling Capricorn, is the planet of seriousness, tasks, responsibilities, restrictions, reality, delays, etc.
An opposition is like the two ends of a bridge. An opposition is a connector between two sides, of the same coin.When an opposition works well, it’s like a pair of glasses, in that it assists your vision.
The native with Neptune opposition Saturn vacillates between illusion and reality; escapism and hardship. Resolving this is as simple as choosing one planet over the other, and then understanding that the other planet serves as support and eventual outcome.For example, lets say this native chooses to have a “FANTASY” romance.
Eventually that fantasy is going to End OR positively, that fantasy will become a dream come true (Saturn manifesting Neptune’s desires). Negatively, Saturn can burst the Neptune romance bubble. Saturn also exists, in this scenario, to support the fantasy romance. You still have to pay the bills, wash the dishes, etc.So you don’t get rid of the other planet. And Neptune will support the realistic relationship (should you choose Saturn over Neptune) with an injection of weekend romance, Valentine’s dates, and movie night.
So the other planet remains in the picture (with a smaller role).
Instead of working against each other (the negative and natural manifestation of an opposition), you choose ONE Driver and then have the other as the “back-seat driver” — acting somewhat like a conjunction, but not quite.
Do you have an opposition? What planets are involved? What do you find is your key issue? Who would you like driving, most of the time? And how can the second planet support this?
Projections are insidious and pose a difficult paradox to solve, as one attempts to weave through the labyrinth. Projections are extremely hard to get a handle on, as our unconscious often finds the material too upsetting to handle openly and directly.
In astrology, personal projections are the domain of the 1-7th house axis.
Non-personal projections are the domain of the 4-10th house axis.
Have you had someone project their shadow or gift on to you, and after self and external reflection — your impression is that while the projection may have something to do with you, it is more likely material that the projector is attempting to work out?
Are you saying: I’m fine or comfortable with that? I’m not too much, or too little of what they’re saying about me? Then the projector may be using you as a scapegoat to work out their issues.
If that’s the case, here are six ways to respond to, and resolve projections from others so that you don’t get tied up into the drama of their psyche AND so they begin to do their own dirty work:
1. Yes, I know. And…? (Alt: I know I am, but what are you?)
2. Oh — so you’ve been working with that (doing that, etc.)?
3. Thanks, but no thanks.
4. Let me tell you about a time when…
5. That’s interesting..
6. Oh — Is that what you think about yourself / your motive? (Alt: I know you are, but what am I?)
Four ways to learn from what you project:
1. Notice the negative and positive things you say about and to other people. You know — the judgements, assumptions, and character flaws and character brilliance.
2. How does or has that manifested in your life? Do you want more of less of it?
3. Resolve, Redeem, or Renew. Resolve, Redeem, or Renew. Turn negative, into positive. Enhance positive, and see the dark side. There is no light, without the dark.”
4. Forget about it. Stop noticing it in others. When you do, nod. When they do, nod. Don’t give it energy, or weight. Understand. Have compassion.
If you haven’t learned much about projections (outside of what I wrote above), here are a few informative links:
One day I hope to gain a degree in sociology/psychology. And I would like to institute “Projection therapy”. Which would be as simple as: What don’t you like about another? And the therapeutic dialogue part would be to help the patient acknowledge, accept, and resolve that within their own make-up. As well as find solutions to problems, as all answers are contained within — and are connected to the universal mind.
Projections are a painful truth, and is a self-healing tool.

If you were not aware before, be aware now — anything, I mean ANYTHING you say about someone else can easily be connected back to you. There is an interplay between yourself and other or the internal and external.
You can’t know, what you don’t know exists.
The one exception (that I can readily assess) is if you are *trained* to observe and see something in another such as a psychologist, officer of the peace, etc. and without a doubt do not possess that particular trait in abundance, or of note. Another example is if someone points out a trait or projection to you such as a friend, family member, or the projector themselves.
Do note that even if you do not utter projections out loud, they are still occurring. And just because someone says something about someone else, does not mean they are not aware of that very same thing existing within their own selves. In other words, not everyone is ignorant to their projections. You can find this out, if you will, by questioning them (see Six Ways above).
And if you find yourself saying something nice or naughty about me, do consider that it’s probably a projection — for good or evil and may not actually be my truth.
Astrology Angular House Projection Examples:
Mars in or on the 7th (Barack Obama, Colin Farrel, Stephen Arroyo, Sylvia Brown, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, Tina Turner, Mariah Carey, Adolf Hitler, Tom Cruise, Rihanna, Whitney Houston: The native may think that others are the one’s being aggressive and competing against them. This may be true, as the native attracts similar creatures, but they TOO are also of such a temperament. The positive projection of Mars in 7th is attracting sexual, active, and fearless partners.
Neptune in or on the 10th: The native projects the unconscious of the people. The people also project their collective conscious on to the native. This placement is often great for spiritual leaders (Jesus, Mother Theresa, Oprah Winfrey, Liz Greene, Aleister Crowley) who are in a position to redeem and rehabilitate their sisters and brothers. Astrological opposition tolerance: One doesn’t exist without the other.
For example: A Leo, is just as much of an Aquarius — flipped over. An Aquarius is just as much of a Leo, flipped over. And in the middle, they meld and mesh.
Take the keyword for Aquarius as being *intellectual* and mash that up with a keyword for Leo – *vanity*. What might you get from an Aquarius? Intellectual vanity!
How about a keyword for Leo being bossy, and a keyword for Aquarius – teacher. A Leo might be a bossy teacher.
Now lets use entirely positive or neutral keywords. A keyword for Leo is creative. A keyword for Aquarius is unique. So together, both Leos and Aquarius’ (when firing on all cylinders) are Unique creators.
What’s your Sun sign, what are two distinct keywords for each of those signs, mash them together, and what do you get?
VOC Moons (What’s up with all that?): Why shouldn’t you start something new during a VOC Moon? I’m thinking it’s as simply as this: Because you won’t be putting enough “energy” into it.
I generally feel incredibly lazy, for a normally highly productive state, during VOC’s. I simply don’t want to do ANYTHING but vegetate. Try as I might to do otherwise. Especially during a Waxing VOC Moon…
Energy is matter. Matter is money. Money matters. Energy matters. Energy is matter. Matter is manifestation. Manifesting matters. Energy matters. Energy is matter. Energy is matter. Matter is a corporeal being. A human being matters. Energy matters. Energy is matter.
The VOC Moon is unaspected, and therefore is receiving NO energy, impetus, or sparks of initiation.
If you don’t put “energy” into anything, you can’t really get anything out of it, which is likely why astrologers refer to Lily as suggesting that,
“Nothing will come of this,” during a VOC Moon.
Mystery (for myself) solved.
Nothing to be superstitious about.
However, I will say this: I still firmly believe in — whatever is supposed to happen, happens. Right now, is right for now. Nothing is ever a waste of time. etc…

After I wrote this, I went looking for support of what I’m saying and ran into this…
The reason why I have been so keen to actually find Lilly’s wording in the book, is because it was brought to my attention yesterday, by a very reputable astrologer, that he doesnt actually say that nothing will come of the matter.
Lilly states
“All manner of matters goe hardly on (except the principall significators be very strong) when the moon is void of course; yet somewhat she performs if void of course, and be either in Taurus, Cancer, Sagittarius or Pisces.”
Now personally, I think this reputable astrologer is totally right. It says nothing of the sort that the void of course moon, means nothing will come of the matter.
The first thing I think of when reading this Old English, is the phrase, “To be hardly done by”. Meaning in fact, to have had a hard time with something. Like this astrologer mentioned to me by email yesterday, (I’m not sure I can say who this astrologer was, as they dont know I am writing this:confused:), I think it is actually saying in Lilly’s text that, that the void of course moon, will actually make the situation queried about, hard. Are we infact, by saying that nothing will come of the matter, making decisions for the querent? It may be, that some folk will decide to not go ahead with doing something because of the struggle they may have with the matter, but I dont think it is our decision.
I wanted to find out more about the wording of this term “goe hardly”, because I think now a days, we are have read the term “hardly”, to mean “barely”, which I have found to be wrong.
I refer you to something I found on line at “Answers.com” ( I need to go and check this information again from another source), but I think we have a significant problem here.

The sentence Mary hardly laughed means that Mary did laugh a little, not that she kept from laughing altogether, and therefore does not express a negative proposition. But adverbs like hardly and scarcely do share some important features of negative adverbs, even though they may not have purely negative meaning. For one thing, they combine with any and at all, which are characteristically associated with negative contexts. Thus we say I hardly saw him at all or I never saw him at all but not I occasionally saw him at all. Please note, the second meaning of the word “only with great difficulty”.
I think it is presumptious of us, to assume that the term only means, that nothing will come of the matter, when this meaning also exists. We are not doing querents a service, in telling them that nothing will come of the matter, when in fact we should be telling them things could happen with great difficulty

The way Deb Houlding explained it to me was, besides the Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson “nothing will come of the matter” context, that the void of course moon describes a ‘lapse of energy’, wherein nothing can move forward because there is not strength or power available to move it; much like the wind suddenly going out of a boat’s sails. When the Moon leaves VOC, the wind suddenly puffs the sails out again. (This is how I view it in my mind, at least.)Cheers,

Abella, here is my analogy about driving a car (or train) for the Void moon: When the moon is making aspects you are driving with direction, and possibly speed. You know where you are going and you heading there; you’re more focused, less distracted. When it goes void, its like your car has slipped into neutral, you can’t make turns and you’re certainly not driving with direction anymore. Maybe you enter another lane unexpectedly and end up in another city. Hopefully you don’t drive off the traintracks! or off the road into a ditch! lol
Anyway, if you accumulated enough speed and directional focus while the moon was NOT void, you could theoretically continue “coasting” into the void moon phase, at least in the beginning of it. But if you START a project while the moon is in Void phase, you will likely start the ignition while in a ditch or off the road and it will be very difficult to get back on the road and out of “neutral”.
I usually post the Void moon phases on my fanpage & twitter for those who follow it, and I encourage readers to work/accomplish according to this schedule. I certainly do. And there seem to be a lot of “voids” over the next week in the EST time zone.
I hope you survived or made the best of the Mercury Rx in Cancer, which heralded much mayhem related to water, electrical, and timing troubles. For example, the media was in a frenzy regarding the birth date of the royal baby with the changed due changes. The question everyone wanted to know was: When will Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge (formerly Kate Middleton), break her water (Cancer is connected to water and babies)?
Mercury is now direct, and although there may be some cleaning up to do and residual snafus — we are in the clear until Mercury Rx in Scorpio arrives on October 21, with its shadow period starting on October 1. Stay tuned to future editions on what will likely happen during this retrograde.

Leo season has officially arrived (July 22 to August 22). Leo is the time of year where we’re enjoying the last days of the extra warm Sun — we play, create, BBQ, get together with friends and loved ones outside, and follow through or finalize the summer plans we came up with earlier in the year.
Venus enters Virgo (July 22 to Aug 16). Venus (the planet of love, beauty, femininity, artistry, and partnership) combines with Virgo (the planet of purity, service, analysis, natural health, and daily work).
Between July 30 and August 3, you may notice an increase in weddings, romances, and marriage proposals. That’s because this Venus Virgo is sextile (opportunity, activity) to the Moon’s Node (destiny, future) and trine Mars (the planet of action, speed, assertion, masculinity, and sexuality).
During this time, as Mars trines the Moon’s Node, we will collectively be rethinking what we do for a living, perhaps job hunting or interviewing, changing work friends, getting our homes ready for the fall, and planning for upcoming educational pursuits. Do be careful — especially when you’re working around the home — as Mars squares Uranus. Squares indicate obstacles and frustrations. Uranus is the planet of surprises, sudden upsets, and doing it your own way. However, if there are any upsets — they are likely to be remedied just as quickly due to Mars trining (harmony, everything is alright), Chiron (wounds).
As we wrap up this edition of the East Yorker, Jupiter will Oppose Pluto (August 3 to 12th). All that love in the air, weighs in. Do pay attention to your daily habits, including your health and well-being, along with the tasks you choose to do. What seems like a good thing at the time, later shows itself to have had a powerfully negative effect. Control or limit your urges.
Uranus Square Pluto: Autonomy vs Responsibility, Rebellion vs. Structure, Individual vs. Society
I’ve met a lot of people in my life who want to do whatever the hell they want to do, but don’t want to suffer the consequences of bad results, or take responsibility for their desires.
Some (if not all) of these same people seem to also think that they are responsible. I think they mean: Responsible to themselves! Not to those they affect, and they DO affect others. They’re not on an island.
And that’s why society has rules. It has rules for people who have a tendency to think about themselves only. And don’t you feel a little safer because of that enforced civility? Because if we didn’t have it, what would your world look like? And how would you be affected?
In the past, it became normal for me to just be responsible for other people’s actions (because they wouldn’t) so in every job I took on, I ended up being promoted to positions of authority (management and supervision) because of it.
But for the last three to four years, I’ve been seriously rebelling against this. I’m confronting people, and telling them that if they want to do what they want to do — they’ll need to be responsible for its outcome — not me. So yes, you can do what you want to do, but don’t expect me or anyone else (for that matter) to handle the fall-out, should it occur.
As a Capricorn rising, with the planet Saturn in Taurus rising first — I can not understand the behavior of, “I’ll do whatever I damn well please, and take no responsibility for it either” very well.
How does this work? How do you get to do whatever you want, and yet suffer no consequence or refuse to take responsibility yet get the green light? Are you on an island affecting no one else? How is it that any person of authority and responsibility would let the other do whatever they want?
I imagine there are elements of anarchy and discordia (Eris) at play. By the way, my Eris & Chiron in Aries is in my 3rd house, with Aries on the third house cusp.
But I just wonder how an entire society could work with wild humans, on a regular basis. Are there special people, who don’t have to play by the rules? I believe my queries are connected to the Uranus Aries square Pluto Capricorn celestial event we’re experiencing and somehow at a microcosmic level — I’ve found myself being a large part of it.
I’m wondering if harmony and understanding, between rebellion and structure — can occur.
I’m finding for many of the world’s people, the sentence — Pluto Cap Sq. Uranus Aries — is reading as: Growing pains and tension created, through initiating rebellion, that destroy structures to overthrow authority and governing bodies.
But what if it could also read as:
Overcoming obstacles to radically change social rules, that will provide greater autonomy and freedom for everyONE.
And is there a way to TRINE this sucker? What can we learn from this transit? What are we to learn from this transit? How can we get our needs met, while meeting the needs of others? Both as society, and as an individual?
Aries: You will meet your match very soon while enjoying fun in the sun. Widening your relationships and connections become a hot priority for you.
Taurus: Contemplating new enterprises and adventures troubles you some. Don’t give up what you already have. Expansion, rather than contraction is likely.
Gemini: Your mind has been on the go — racing with thoughts. After a lot of mental tension, and growth, you’ll receive a much needed rest from your brain; however, you’ll keep moving social butterfly.
Cancer: On June 22, the Sun enters the sign of Cancer. Happy Birthday! On June 26th ,2013 — Mercury (the planet of trade, communication, siblings, short distance travel, the nervous system, and basic education), will go retrograde (Rx) in the sign of Cancer (home, domestic issues, mother, care-taking, food, emotional sensitivity, and moods). This means that the planet appears to travel backwards in the sky, and won’t operate like it usually does.
More sensitive folks will feel the effects starting from June 10th. The official end date of the retrograde is July 20th , but it can be felt until August 3.
This retrograde may have an extra effect on you or those that affect you, if any planets are in the signs of Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces.
And if you were born with your Mercury, retrograde — you may avoid all the challenging aspects of this celestial event.
When you think about how this cosmic event affects you, add “re” to every action you consider taking: reflect, rejuvenate, reignite, renew, recycle, repeat, redo, resolve, research, review, etc.
With the Rx (℞), you may also want to reconsider any prescriptions for physical, spiritual, financial, or mental health.
You’ll also hop on the mental time machine — taking a trip back to get things finished up or sorted out, that were left behind as it relates to Cancerian themes.
Mechanical and electrical things can break down, can have power fluctuations, work slowly, or be delayed — travel, trade, and communication devices included. Mail, credit and debit cards, and payments can also be problematic – especially family related ones.
Anything not previously fixed or resolved before, or was on its way out, will likely be on its last legs during the retrograde.
Getting things fixed, backing up data, and resolving outstanding problems that Mercury governs and is related to Cancerian themes — is a positive, successful, and productive approach to this celestial happening.
If you’re signing contracts, buying machines or electronics — do your research, and read the fine print three times! Better yet, have someone else go triple check it for you.
Restarting of old relationships and connections may occur during a retrograde; however, avoid starting a new relationship or connection. Frankly, it’s not the best time to get married, unless it’s a re-marriage. Expect things to start late, or be delayed along with emotional highs and lows.
And if you break up during a retrograde, there’s a good chance you’ll get back together again (maybe during the next retrograde), or sort things out more clearly once it’s over.
If you have siblings, they may be hard to reach or misunderstandings could abound. However, it’s also a time where you’re likely to rehash old stories, or issues and might get somewhere with it this time around.
More things to do, or not to during this retrograde:
Get and send payments before the 26th of June. If your computer, telephone, or other communication devices haven’t been in good working order, take care of them. Back up household data. Re-consider or review your household lease, and insurance policies. If any vehicle or moving mechanical device (bike, car, lawn mower, etc) hasn’t been working well, fix it. Send out mail, and packages so they’re received by June 24th, or the recipient may receive it late. If that’s not possible, and budget allows — use tracking devices, insurance, and/or faster delivery methods during a retrograde. It’s not a good time to bring up new topics, but it’s a good time to revisit old topics – especially with family. Be careful not to send out messages to the wrong people. Reflect on your connection with family, and possibly reach out to someone you haven’t connected with in awhile. Nurture, and provide comfort to neglected loved ones. If your head doesn’t seem clear (to make decisions, or share an important bit of news), wait until it is clear. Avoid buying new electrical, mechanical or communication equipment. Same goes for bringing in new family members, including pets, or hiring people. Go over any work, especially home related, that hasn’t been completed yet (ie renovations, spring cleaning, etc.). Avoid starting a new training course, or anything that does with teaching new material — start this before the retrograde begins. Give yourself extra time to get things done, and get to places. Devise plan B’s.

Cancer stellium (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter) Cycled in torrential rain pour. Did it ever cry rain! Rain jacket did not protect my cell phone, as it won’t turn on now due to water getting inside. Hopefully it will resurrect with a new battery or something. Resurrected my old cell phone, as a temporary replacement. Almost skidded out on my bike, with the deep amount of water. My rain gear is NOT enough, for these rains. Did not get them last year! It’s like rain on fibroids! Had a very long nap.
Also, water was out a doctor’s office and computer systems were not working at a hospital on this day (before the rainfall).
Update: Cell phone did not survive. Ordered a new one AFTER the Rx being over, and ordered a waterproof case as we face a water sign (Scorpio) Rx again in October/November.

Fast food joint, where I went to pick up a coffee, had all their systems down so couldn’t buy a coffee.
Then the next fast food joint had the manager doing the cash, cooking, and dressing of food because his staff members had not started their shifts yet — probably got extra business from the other fast food join that had their systems down!!
Just found out that it was announced a couple of days ago that Twinkie is COMING BACK on July 15th. How more Mercury Cancer Rx can we get? Twinkies are coming back after going bankrupt during a Sag Merc Rx.
I mentioned that relationships that break-up during an Rx, may get back together by the next Rx but I didn’t think that that could also apply to anything that breaks up — can come back!

I’m calling people, at home, but keep missing them.
Try to back-up a hard drive, and it won’t allow me to do so because of space issues and passwords I don’t have. LOL… Will ask my tech friend (Mercury), when he stops by my home (Cancer) next week, to figure it out.
All Wii controllers suddenly had no battery juice! Rare for that to happen all at the same time. But hadn’t used them in awhile. But that’s part of an Rx — reusing old technology / equipment.

I just called Canada Post (Mercury Cancer), and got a Sex line (Adam and Eve). LOL I must have misdialed. Sounds very Venus-Mercury?! Oh wait, it IS. We are currently having an exact 22° Cancer Venus Conjunct Mercury mundane (world) transit. Also, it’s the day of Venus, in the hour of Mercury. I’m loving this Cancer energy.
By the way, I meant to dial 1800 565 4362 and dyslexia got me dialing 1 800 565 4632 – Well, that added a zip to my day!! #astrogasm
Oh, and I called because I wanted to order some stamps online and I got locked out of my account for some weird reason. Apparently Canada Post is having a problem with this that they’re techies are trying to fix! Doh!
Songza must have made a mistake with a request for an ad-free music subscription. I thought it was a little early to be asking for money, or doing that sort of thing and apparently it is. It’s no longer showing up. I wish I did a screen shot of it. It was something like $3 or $4 per month. It’s not that much, but I wonder if a website — focused entirely on music can compete with something like Netflix. So all the music you want to listen to for $4 — would you buy?
Semi-related, I’m not sure why I missed this. But Mercury Cancer Rx is like Moon-Mercury Rx, or Mercury in the 4th house. Songza, for example, is very ‘home oriented’ with its playlist suggestions for: Bedtime, After-work, Cooking with Friends, Entertaining Friends, Cleaning up, Making out, etc. Having said that, it has out of home playlists too (but very much connected to the 3 of Cups tarot card) such as Dance Party, Drinking at a Bar, Girls Night Out, etc.
Mercury is anything communication related including speaking, writing, and can even be music related such as song and jingle writing. The Moon is domestic, related to emotions, feelings, the mother, home, domestic issues, etc..

Global TV Calgary interviews Jeff Heyd, who provides advice on preserving pictures, heirlooms, books, what items need to be replace and what types of products and cleaning products to use. He recommends not using bleach on porous surfaces.
In terms of professionals, if you aren’t able to get access right away, on your own you should start the drying process and throw out water logged items. He cautions that some surfaces such as concrete, can require professional drying/heating processes to prevent future mold growth.
When we know the language of astrology, we can all be gurus…
All language is divine, and astrology is no different. Astrology is essentially a bible of sorts. A way to live. A guiding path or light, in dark days.
The second house has the sign of Taurus, ruled by Venus on its house cusp. Taurus is part of the element of Earth and it closely connects to Saturn (Capricorn), and Virgo (Vesta).
We connect money to worth because money is one possible result of spending time (Saturn) and effort (Virgo/Vesta, sacrificial hard work).
Some people who have low self-esteem, low self-worth, or with the tendency of placing others above or before them — may give a lot of their time and effort (Taurean Venus-Saturn investment) without an equal level of return (money, love, appreciation, etc. — all 2nd house, Taurus, Venus themes), and when that happens — they feel used (ie Venus Square Saturn) and can give less (ie less love, 2nd house, Taurus, Venus themes). So people with low self-esteem, low self-worth, etc. may ALSO be takers, or become takers.
Many people are judged by much they are worth.
And your value can be based on a number of factors such as: How much money you have, who you know, and your status. But it can also be based on ROI – Return on Investment (eh, maybe business school was worth it after all! :P) — what potential you have to give back, or what you give back when someone else invests in you.
In my opinion — a smart, emotionally detached, and conscious person would say: If I put my time, and effort (and maybe money and other resources) into X — what are the chances that I will get anything back from X?
I don’t ask that question enough — maybe because the answer might not be what I want to discover.
When a person is of good stock or character, the ROI is often high.
Sometimes you will lose (giving to others), and sometimes you will gain (taking from others) — but in the end, when there’s a healthy give and take (Libra, Venus) — all are usually happy. And if you can’t give, you can’t truly love (Venus, 2nd House).
So when someone thinks you’re unworthy, they are saying that they think they’ll get less out of you, then they put into you — like a bank account (Taurus) that earns interest or not.
And if you think you’re unworthy, it may be because you do not give of your time, effort, and/or resources while taking what is not yours to really receive.
In that case, it would be true — that yes, you are indeed unworthy in that situation, event, circumstance, or as it relates to that person (as in — within a relationship) but only because you’ve made it a point to take rather than give.
And that’s how you can gain self-esteem and self-worth — by giving to others, without the thought of receiving, if you are historically a taker.
Because givers, who feel upset about others not appreciating what they give, actually DO have good self-worth and understand their value is high. That is unless the act of constant giving, and not taking — wears down on their own self-esteem and sense of value.
So the lesson of givers is to be in balance by taking a trip over to the 8th house (Pluto, Scorpio, who is co-ruled by Mars) — where they learn to accept and encourage people to give of their resources to them! They can also be in balance by giving to themselves, through the 2nd house.
The old saying goes: You need to spend money, to make money.
So you need to give, to get.
And if you are already giving, without getting — STOP.
You’ve spent too much, and profits will be slim or non-existent!
Eventually what you get, is going to dry up and you will also lose the opportunity of enjoying genuine self-esteem and self-worth. Or your self-worth and self-esteem will plummet, if you’ve been traditionally a giver.
So make the right decision.
Balance out your 2nd-8th opposition.
If you have been a taker, learn to give. Spend more, conserve less.
If you have been a giver, learn to take. Spend less, conserve more.

On June 26th ,2013 — Mercury (the planet of trade, communication, siblings, short distance travel, the nervous system, and basic education), will go retrograde (Rx) in the sign of Cancer (home, domestic issues, mother, care-taking, food, emotional sensitivity, and moods). Send out mail, and packages so they’re received by June 24th, or the recipient may receive it late. If that’s not possible, and budget allows — use tracking devices, insurance, and/or faster delivery methods during a retrograde. It’s not a good time to bring up new topics, but it’s a good time to revisit old topics – especially with family. Be careful not to send out messages to the wrong people. Reflect on your connection with family, and possibly reach out to someone you haven’t connected with in awhile. If your head doesn’t seem clear (to make decisions, or share an important bit of news), wait until it is clear. Avoid buying new electrical, mechanical or communication equipment. Same goes for bringing in new family members, including pets, or hiring people. Go over any work, especially home related, that hasn’t been completed yet (ie renovations, spring cleaning, etc.). Avoid starting a new training course, or anything that does with teaching new material — start this before the retrograde begins. Give yourself extra time to get things done, and get to places. Things I’ve noticed during this RX
People are talking about caring about each other more.
In the 8th (Scorpio, Pluto) house — “till death do us part”… where a bond and undying love exists….
This is where a marriage or partnership transforms or destroys your psyche, finances, physical, and psychological health. This is the house where we learn dive deeply into all matters that develop or remove us.
Your marriage is consummated (ah, so maybe sex happens BEFORE the honeymoon?!), and explore sex with another person within the intimate bond that gets even deeper. Here, you create your wills, and change insurance policies with your new benefactor. Bank accounts may be joined, or a decision made on how resources are spent. Secrets are shared, and a transformation of psyche with our loved one — desired.
The 8th house is also the place where issues around who controls what, is determined. But before we get into the thick of all that, we tally up all the money received from our wedding from both sides of the fence.
Then in the 9th (Sagittarius, Jupiter) house, the house of long distance travel, spirituality, philosophy, religion, justice, foreign things, etc — we take that “wedding money” that are friends from far and wide gave to us as presents, and we go off on a honeymoon!

In the 10th (Capricorn, Saturn), we come back from our honeymoon, and introduce ourselves to the world-at-large. We are now accepted as a unit to be taken seriously. We did IT. And it’s an exciting time! Our Mother or Father (whoever is represented by our 10th house) may feel a sense of detachment, or loss at this time — as the parental recognition understands that we are about to embark on creating our own family separate from our biological one. Here, we, as a couple, begin to create our “shared identity” and explore and share our roles for society to know of.
In the 11th (Aquarius, Uranus), we begin building mutual friendships, make new contacts with service providers, and associations that support our new relationship status. We think of our hopes and dreams, and we seek out those who will support us and them. Do they still exist? If not, do I want them to? The honeymoon period begins its end in the 11th!
In the 12th (Pisces, Neptune), we may hide our disappointments and sorrow for what what had hoped would work out, but didn’t. We feel lost. Marriage may feel confining — like we can’t breathe. Have we lost our identity? Who are we separately, and as a couple? We take some time out. We may not connect as much with our mate. We may hide our feelings, and thoughts of disillusionment and despair. We may feel shame or guilt for not having the same feelings that we had previously, or for potentially hurting our mate. We may consider divorce, but have no readiness for it. Should I stay, or should I go? We may bury ourselves in escapes, so we don’t have to deal with these serious questions, just yet.

Note: I’m writing this, as if this were about me – it isn’t. At least not right now. :) It’s just a good way for me to write, placing myself in the shoes of each “relationship” type, so the writing is personal. Sorry for the confusion! :D
Current Mundane Transit: Naturally wrote during VOC Moon Capricorn. Naturally published during Moon Aquarius. Naturally means, with little or no forethought.
I’m a woman, interested in relationships with men, so I’m using the term boyfriend.
How do I label who is who?! Okay, lets break it down…
Me (1st house, Aries): I’m alone. I’m fully independent. This is my time with me, myself, and I. I do on my own. I enjoy on my own. I make decisions on my own, unfettered by the wishes of others.
Friend (11th house, Aquarius): A casual friend, associate, or acquaintance is someone I see or talk to and/or see once or twice a month — maybe even only a handful of times a year. We are not involved in each others personal lives, in any great way. We mostly meet for the enjoyment of mutual interests, and causes. Distance is welcomed. And opinions are often fixed, with no overt desire for them to be on your side.
*Aries is Sextile Aquarius — they get along quite easily. In other words, one can can lead to the other quite easily. So You can be friends with people easily. Aquarius is more detached, and friend oriented so it will naturally accept the independence of Aries and not get wrapped up in its fiery nature. Basically it’s not a stretch. And Me (Aries) can become a boyfriend (Leo) because they are in Trine to each other.
Boyfriend (5th house, Leo): A boyfriend is someone I talk to almost, maybe even, every day. They care about my well-being. They are involved in my personal life. They help out wherever and whenever they can, with or without request. The do thoughtful things like giving me a massage when I complain of fatigue, picking me up a coffee on their way over to my place, surprising me with a home cooked meal or a poem, etc. We socialize two to three times a week. They attend most special occasions such as holiday events with family, my birthday, a work function, etc. They attend many recreational events with me. They’ve met my most important friends, and family.
Friends (Aquarius) may not turn into boyfriends. It can be an easier leap from Me to Lover / Lust (5th house) but I strongly prefer getting to know people, over time. Growing from the cool Aquarius friendship, to a warmer Leo relationship. :)
Companion / Lover (5-11th house, Aquarius-Leo): A companion is between a friend, and a boyfriend. This is someone whom I could speak to a few times a week. They may not care much about my well-being, and tend to have a more self-involved nature. That’s good, because that means I can be more self-involved too without having to concern myself about meeting obligations that would come with a boyfriend or spouse. I have a lot of fun with this person, and they brighten my life mentally, emotionally, and maybe even physically (FWB). They are not generally seeking to better my life other than through their presence! They know about some of my personal life, but don’t really get involved with helping me solve my personal problems. We know when to give space, take time and back off, and when to see each other again. We don’t get bothered by this inconsistency. We may see each other once a week, or a handful of times a month. They might be counted on for the occasional need, upon request. They attend only the most important social gatherings.
Aquarius and Leo do not get along as much (being in opposition) but there’s still a solid connection. The Companion is the odd man out! This is really the limbo and unpredictable state — bouncing back and forth between feeling close, and feeling detached. Feeling like there’s something more, and feeling like there’s something less — or that they’re could be. Sun Opposite Uranus. So this connection type can have a hard time figuring out if they’re coming or going.
* I couldn’t find many good links on how to be a good companion. Maybe because it’s a cross between a friend and a boyfriend, and has a hazy definition because of that. After-all, it covers two houses! :) Frankly, it could go either way — at any time!
Spouse or Committed Partner (7th house, Libra/Juno): A spouse or partner is my right hand man. We are two peas in a pod, and come as a unit. Unless it’s a “me day” with friends, when I’m invited somewhere, it’s expected my spouse is invited too. They know pretty much everyone I know. We speak to each other daily, and hang out often, though we may not have as many fun outings together as we are busy attempting to achieve our ambitions. It’s part work, and part play — whereas a boyfriend or companion is mostly focused on pleasure and friendship — not work. They seek out information about my personal life, so they can help me solve problems that get in the way of our dreams and ambitions. Decisions are made together, as we’re aware that whatever the other does — affects BOTH of us. A spouse or committed partner is a friend, companion, and boyfriend — they fill all roles and we know we’ve made a commitment through sickness, and health — until death (including divorce) do us part. Being a spouse is a lot of work, but there’s lots of rewards too. A shared vision of ambition (even if the ambition is to do nothing!) is essential for survival.
Libra and Leo, Sextile — so get along quite easily. In other words, one can can lead to the other quite easily. So a boyfriend, can lead to a husband quite easily. However, a Me (Aries) does not make the leap to You (Libra) — You and I in a permanent relationship — very easily. Having said that, Me (Aries) can make a good leap to Boyfriend (5th H / us).
Serious relationships start in the 1st house (a relationship with yourself), and end in the 7th house (a relationship with other). Then in between you have boyfriends and girlfriends (5th house), and casual friendships (11th house).
When a love interest wants more from you, they need to be willing to give more. There’s a saying:
I’m not a religious person, by much of anyone’s standards.
I went to Baptist churches until I was around seven years old. My mom was a non-practicing Catholic from the East coast of Canada. And I’ve got Inuit (Eskimo) in me.
I consider myself spiritual.
I’ve participated in a coven, been a solitary witch, connected to paganism, investigated Scientology, practiced Buddhism, explored the Universal Unitarian church due to all its diversity, played around with various psychic and earth practices, converted to Islam in my early twenties (connected to marriage) and haven’t practiced it since the 90’s, and looked into Jewish mysticism.
But I found a lot of it to be lacking.
While I’m not a fair weather friend, and I’m very loyal (Venus Trine Saturn) — I’m not loyal to religion or a spiritual practice unless it continues to serve my highest good (Sag on 11th/12th, Jupiter in the 9th).
So if I’m to be anything religious, astrology is my religion. It still continues to serve my highest good.
However, I think most religions have something of value to share with us.
I’m telling you all this because what I’m about to say might sound religious, and I hope you’ll put what I say into the context of my experiences, and knowledge.
Also, if you’re a highly sensitive person who is currently ungrounded — you may want to skip what I’m about to say until you’ve got your feet firmly planted.
Uncommon Yet Plausible Thoughts Regarding The Purpose of Man on Earth
I think we’re all prisoners, and that human beings have sinned or transgressed. Earth is a huge jail. Saturn is our warden. Saturn is the devil. The devil governs or rules Earth — not God. This is a God forsaken planet! Though the concept of God, rules ALL. God intervenes when the Devil / Saturn has went to far, and we’ve prayed for help. Sometimes, we still won’t get help. Our souls (Neptune, spirit) are encased in walking jail cells (note our body is made up of cells!). We have a sentence to carry out, and there’s no “get out of jail for free” card. Though we may get to check out earlier, for good behavior or for incorrect incarceration. We’re here to redeem ourselves so we get off, and stay off this rock — unless we want to come back to help those who are struggling to get off. Our bodies, are shackles (or walking prison cells)– keeping our spirit (Neptune) bound to the earth (Saturn). Natally I have Saturn (in the 4th) Opposition Neptune (in the 10th) so these thoughts are ones I’ve played with quite a bit. Some people want to fly, or escape — feeling chained in. Suicide is incredibly frowned upon, because we have a sentence to live out. If a person does this, they will hang in a holding cell (purgatory), until they’re processed and sent straight back to prison (Earth) with an even longer and harder sentence! Think about a prisoner escaping, and being caught from a traditional jail. Not a good option, my friend. To that end, we keep coming back (re-incarnation) until we’ve elevated ourselves — nirvana. (ie non-attachment, surrendering, allowing, etc). Some can reach Nirvana on Earth, but from what I understand they quickly die thereafter. I’m a sinner too. Why else am I on this planet? Could I be an angel on Earth? Possibly. But no matter what, I’ve at one time sinned, and I continue to sin. In archery, the term SIN means: Missed the mark! I’ve made a lot of mistakes, and experienced a lot of pain. And with that, I learn. I grow. I am highly motivated to get off this rock, once my sentence has been served. When I get a jail pass, I attempt to elevate myself by doing good, helping others succeed and grow, and enjoy the spirit/matter creations of others and myself (music, artwork, nature, etc.)
So what about most of us wanting to LIVE, and not die? If earth contains a bunch of heartaches, stress, disease, etc.. maybe we want to live because we realize we haven’t rehabilitated ourselves yet, and that we’ll have to come back if we haven’t cleared our debt. Once we do, heaven is on our side. But it also could be to keep us living, to finish out our sentence. We have a sentence to carry out, and we need to WANT to carry it out. We could also be theatre, for the Gods. Truly, it seems that the ones that die young — are the luckiest. “The good die young”. And when people say, “There in a better place. Inherently, they know that to be true!” Living on Earth, is no easy task. But sometimes, we’re able to have enough fun to forget about how hard it is. These rewards help us to keep working towards redeeming, and rehabilitating.
Also of note is the Uranus Return, that happens around 84. Uranus, ruling Aquarius (who is co-ruled by Saturn), is about freedom — freedom from Saturn’s restriction. And as an Air planet — detaching itself from matter (the body, Earth, Saturn). A lot of people will die or get sick around this age or when Saturn/Uranus crosses an angle, or enters one of the houses of endings (4,8,12). Basically they will have served their sentence, and so their body dies to free their spirit. Uranus, Pluto, and Saturn are planets that separate our bodies from our spirit.
Further regarding the planets in the houses of endings: Be wary of Uranus, Pluto, or Saturn crossing the ascendant — representing the potential release of the body (or rather, spirit). Death can be seen through the water sign houses (4,8,12) — especially as they cross the 1st and 4th angles/angels. As well as when they return — they are conjuncting your natal Saturn, or Uranus. Moon conjunct Moon, in combination with other celestial events, can also indicate death. Being that the Moon (Cancer) is opposite Saturn (Capricorn) and so they are tied together. Maybe one day I’ll write a post about celestial events that indicate when the spirit might become released from matter. For example another indicator is transiting Pluto opposite the natal Sun.

While the next door neighbor of Gemini — Taurus (the sign of security, stability, tenacity, sensuality, artistry, and nature), ruled by Venus (the planet of love, money, beauty, etc.) — is no longer basking in the Sun’s rays, it’s not quite ready to move on yet.
Mars is in the sign of Taurus (April 21 to May 31), and the fixed star Algol, is still in Taurus (currently at 26 degrees) for hundreds of years to come.
On the 24th, the planet of war, sex, sports, masculinity, assertiveness, and action — Mars, begins to socialize with, and explore what is known as the most evil star in the cosmos, Algol, for the next couple of weeks.
Algol connects to the myth of Perseus and the gorgon, Medusa, wherein it becomes Perseus’ task to slay the monster’s head. After accomplishing this task, he uses it to fight evil, and wrong-doing. Algol resides in the third eye (collective conscious) of Medusa’s head.

Alongside Mars tied to Algol, the 24/25th of May has us experiencing the emotional and just impact of a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius (the higher mind, long distance travel, law, and religion).
As a society, we are on the road to no longer being able to bear witness to the atrocities of helpless victims, and choose to put an end to abuse of all kinds — with aggressive completion of new educational programs, laws, wide-spread philosophies, and traveling ministry.

After completing my horoscope column, I did a little search, and found a sports figure (Mars) is going on an emotional walk (Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sag) called The Orange Movement to fight sexual child abuse in the law (Moon Sag, Algol). Former NHL star Theo Fleury was sexually abused (Mars-Algol) by a hockey coach. He will finish the walk on May 23rd, one day before Mars Conjuncts Algol and the Full Moon in Sag eclipses — making a major transitional hit upon unacceptable abuse in our society, especially upon unsuspecting and helpless victims.
Note that Fleury started his walk on the 14th, just a day (as is the case for Mars-Algol) before the Sun Conjunct Algol! What great timing!!

What the cosmos (Planets, Stars, God, Gods, Goddesses, etc) teach us about being ready for, getting, and being married — through astrology!
Part 1
Marriage starts in the house of self, the first house (Aries, Mars). This is the house where we learn to express ourselves, get our needs met, and figure out, “What do I want”? We also develop a style through our clothes, mannerisms, and how we sound that will attract our ideal partner. A good head on our shoulders, will take us far. And the physically fitter, active, and assertive you are — the more ease you’ll have in finding a partner.
Then in the 2nd house (Taurus, Venus) we build our resources (financial, and physical), as well as develop our self-esteem and values. This is the house where we learn to love and value ourselves, and what we own — a necessity for co-existing healthily with another (Libra, Venus). This is also the house of self-sex. Sex with ourselves.
This leads us to the third house — the house of communication and short distance traveling.
Often, if you’re interested in getting married — it’s a good idea to have frequent visits, with prospects, closer to home as long distance relationships (9th house) often fall through, or don’t go through a healthy dose of face-time (Gemini, Mercury). We also often a lot of talking or communicating as we learn about the other.
Meeting online (element of air) such as email, Twitter, Facebook, a personal ad site; at a coffee shop; taking a walk in our neighborhood; having blind-dates that our match maker siblings, co-workers, and neighbors set us up with; and getting to know people in your hood are all ways to increase visibility and communication with marriage prospects. You might even introduce your prospects to 3rd house people (who didn’t match make you) such as your siblings, neighbors, co-workers, etc. — to get the Yay or Nay.
In the 4th (Cancer, Moon), you start spending time with a prospect in your home — where you can show a bit of your character and background, photos, memorabilia, artifacts, be in your natural surroundings, and relax. This might also be a time where you’ll introduce a prospect to your parents — overlapping the 5th.
As you spend more time in each other’s natural surroundings, you become closer (5th house) and might end up dating. This is where you take the risk of falling head over heels in love with someone. You enjoy little getaways, recreational pursuits, hobbies together, and you take a gamble on your romance. But here, everything is happy and fun. You feel a little silly, and kind of like a kid again — with butterflies in your stomach!

Until March 17th, Mercury (the planet of communication, trade, travel, education, siblings, and the nervous system) will be retrograde. This means that the planet appears to travel backwards in the sky.
When you think about how this cosmic event affects you, add “re” to every action you consider taking: reflect, rejuvenate, reignite, renew, recycle, repeat, redo, resolve, research, review, etc.
With the Rx (℞), you may also want to reconsider any prescriptions for physical, spiritual, financial, or mental health.
You’ll also hop on the mental time machine — taking a trip back to get things finished up or sorted out, that were left behind.
Mechanical and electrical things can break down, can have power fluctuations, work slowly, or be delayed — travel, trade, and communication devices included. Mail, credit and debit cards, and payments can also be affected.
Anything not previously fixed or resolved before, or was on its way out, will likely be on its last legs during the retrograde.

Restarting of old relationships and connections may occur during a retrograde; however, avoid starting a new relationship or connection. If you break up during a retrograde, there’s a good chance you’ll get back together again (maybe during the next retrograde), or sort things out more clearly once it’s over.
If you have siblings, they may be hard to reach or misunderstandings could abound. However, it’s also a time where you’re likely to rehash old stories, or issues and might get somewhere with it this time around.
With Mercury Rx in Pisces, we have the added element of water mixed with the air of Mercury and this makes mist or rain. Don’t be surprised if tears are shed — happy or sad, in memory of the past.
Pisces is a soft, dreamy, sensitive, and sometimes clouded sign. If you’re into the spiritual arts, or yoga — it’s a good time to get meditating and moving your body and mind, in gentle ways. This is also a great time to think about water, spirituality, drugs taken, illusions you’ve created for yourself, your plans for this spring, sleeping, and dreaming.

My Mercury Rx Pisces 2013 Stories
I’ve got Mercury Virgo 8° and Pisces NN 2°, and intercepted in the 2nd house.
Stomach ailment came back — this time with a vengeance.
Power outage zapped out my old speakers that were on their last legs anyway.
Only one out of three elevators working since the 25th.
Missed the bus.
Trade is slower.
Payment a regular client mailed, didn’t arrive on time. Another payment didn’t come (after Mercury turned direct but the event was booked during the Rx) and the event ended up getting cancelled — deposits are essential in my line of work! :)
Payments made in odd ways by clients, disrupting our payment flow. After Mercury turned direct, payments started flowing in again!
Rehashing same issues with sibling. This time we might be getting somewhere.
Doing my taxes, sorting out paperwork. Received a call on March 28th (after Mercury turned direct from the government about putting a “move-on” in getting my filing done. I’ve got that April 6th extension so hope to have it done by then! )
I’ve submitted an article for an astrology column in a local newspaper
Communication breakdown with a Pisces Sun-Mercury native. Made up with said person on March 28th (after Mercury turned direct).
Friend’s car break, on back wheel died. He had delayed fixing it for months.
March 29th, finally able to travel, as travel plans were delayed before Mercury turned direct.
Sink part not working well, was not communicated. This led to the part becoming totally broken. It’s now been fixed!
Credit card company thought a payment I made was suspicious so put a hold on account. That payment didn’t go through but other payments were attempted, so cancelled card and a new one on its way. Turns out, it was the payment I was trying to make. The organization’s payment processor was coming through as suspicious.
I will be re-interviewing someone whom I had intended an in-person interview on Sunday (just one day after Mercury went Rx). I couldn’t interview them in person because I got sick (see above stomach ailment). I did, however, interview them by pone and we will be doing the live re-interview during the Mercury Rx. So that’s actually good that happened!
March 30th: Have been unable to commit or announce official changes such hiring a new contractor, and announcing a new moderator for a group I run. Right now, I can’t find the words. I’m certain I will as I get closer to April 6th — when entirely out of the shadow period.
Hey, what better time to think about how Mercury (and my Mercury) works in a natal chart than during Mercury Rx!
My Sun and Mercury have home signs (Leo and Virgo), so I’m seen as a strong thinker / communicator. It’s my natural talent.And Aries is on the 3rd so I process information quickly, if I can get it quickly enough. I was considered a scatterbrain (my grade 6 teacher called me that) because I could think faster than I could talk. Yup, I’m a fast speaker and typist.
With a Virgo Mercury (and Aries on the third), I’m a fact hunter. I love the pure truth and knowledge. Combine Aries on the 3rd with Virgo Mercury, and you get an “interrogator” which is similar to (but not exactly like) having Mercury Aries, or Mercury-Mars. Now, from my perspective I’m just trying to get factual information quickly. And if I don’t integrate the Libra side of Aries into the picture, I can appear as pushy or aggressive — hence the “Interrogator” but that’s only if someone has a tendency to look on the negative side of life. My combination, in its neutrality, just says: Wanting to process facts quickly or Fast Facts. And I’ll cut people off from embellishments, and fluffy stuff to get it.
Inside my third house, I only have Chiron. Here are some ways this plays out:
* I’m a fearless communicator for those who can not speak their truth.
* I was wounded about my speech. My grade six teacher calling me scatterbrain.
* I took speech therapy for a lisp (I have a gap tooth) and my father didn’t want me to get surgery to correct it.
* I can wound people with my speech. I’ve been called intellectually dominating, have the ability to cut someone up, and be a hardcore debater. However, I have a high mind (Jupiter & Uranus in Libra) so it’s unlikely I would do that for kicks. I really think I could have been a lawyer.
I have no other celestial objects in Aries, other than Chiron.
Now, I was checking out my friend who has a lot of Aries and Virgo in his chart (including Mercury Aries, and Mars Virgo — he’s really a Mercury-Mars thinker / communicator too) but he doesn’t seem to have any sympathy for my communication challenges. Then again, he’s got Taurus on the 3rd. He likes to take time to process his information (slower talker, thinker)– this, of course, is in direct conflict with his Mercury Aries — who would usually want to process information quickly.
He also has the ability to tear me a new one, but it’s not usually logical or pin pointed enough for me (sorry hun!) so it doesn’t get him far. This makes his Aries (in to win) angry. But thankfully, since he has Taurus on the 3rd it’s similar to Venus-Mercury or Mercury Taurus so he caves and smooths it all over — eventually. ;-)
Going back to my natals, I have Mars in the 7th. My Mercury is colored by Mars so knowing what Mars is doing is very important. It means that I generally have what my partners, associates, and clients may consider “interrogation sessions” — well, my clients would consider it “therapy” ;P. I would rarely (if ever) behave in this way with strangers, people who are not in my inner circle, or people whom I am not trying to help.
If I’m in to win, it’s to win at gaining my own sense of clarity and understanding about a topic. I love being clear. I love clear thoughts. I love knowing things clearly. I have great difficulty being in the fog, and unknown (Pisces).
I love other people sharing clear thoughts. I am in respect, and awe at the clarity of other thoughts — when they rarely shine through (excuse my disdain at lack of clarity). I’m like, “Go you. Sure, I can get behind that”.
I don’t want to sit and process my own thoughts, if your clear thoughts are right in front of me. I’m in for the solution. But I may piggy back off your thoughts, to arrive at new thoughts. It’s all about learning more, moving forward, and getting to the absolute bottom of things.

The other day, my talk therapist asked me: What is love? Frankly, it made me pause. Then I turned to astrology — what I often do when I want to decode life.
Love is Venus, Juno, Taurus, and Libra.
No matter the type of love: romantic, platonic, love for one’s child, or job — the following traits are the foundations or necessary ingredients for love:
Love and loving, and being loved is sweet; hard; affectionate; fair; poetic; growth oriented; committed; wanting to be around the other; painful; causes security, stability, and balance; fruitful; tenacious; interdependent; what we value; what we want to own; beautiful; peaceful; relaxed; open; thoughtful; steady; reliable; loyal; comfortable; natural, resourceful; supportive; selfless; giving; sharing; and a projection.

We often demonstrate our love to loved ones by making things such as poetry or cards (beautiful, poetic, giving, resourceful, natural, sweet, affectionate, thoughtful, etc.), giving gifts of chocolates such as during Valentine’s day (sweet, affectionate, giving), marrying / partnering with / giving birth (growth oriented, committed, painful, fruitful, loyal, stability, etc), or simply providing a powerful hug (sweet, peaceful, relaxed, open, comfortable, natural, supportive).
One of our goals in love is often to have and offer security, and stability — to provide and receive a home for the mental and material, connecting those two parts to the heart.
Our love for another is a reflection of our love for ourselves, which is why the old saying goes: You can’t love someone else, until you love yourself.
We offer tough love (Juno) when our loved one’s have gone astray. Tough love is not only painful for the receiver, but also the giver.
Love is more often then not reciprocal, though it is given of one’s own free will, and can include much sacrifice and selfless service.
When you truly love, you love for free. You will love without receiving anything in return — perhaps not indefinitely, but definately initially.
Having said that, love is about being fair. If love is not reciprocated (Libra, Juno), physical (Taurus, Venus) demonstrations of it will eventually dry up.

Mercury is in Pisces 8° right now.
My Mercury is in Virgo at 8° (it’s in exact partile today). I am/will be experiencing a Mercury Rx Opposite Mercury transit.
And have been feeling / experiencing the effects for about a week now.
The shadow period is from the 9th to 22nd. We’re already in it! Double AND Triple check EVERYTHING.
The Retrograde (Rx) is happening between Feb 23 (19°) to March 17 (5°). And we are hardest hit, March 1 to 10th!
Mercury rules communication (spoken, phone, email, snail mail, written, etc), trade, sales, contracts, siblings, and travel (over short distances).
It’s a time when things traditionally slow down — including sales so pull out all your advertising mojo to make the sale.
This is also a great time to think about your dreams, meditate, do art, and commune with nature and animals.
When the planet Mercury appears to travel backwards, any word with re: in front of it is what we’re likely to experience — reward, renew, refresh, revisit, redo, renegotiate, redress, etc… In some cases, a retrograde is very welcome, and necessary. Similar to when rain and snow helps cleanse the land, and grow food — reigniting life — a retrograde can also cause havoc.
We are also, transit wise, experiencing Mercury Conjunct Chiron (the wounded healer, wounding healer, and where we receive wounds from others). It’s a good time to mind your words and thoughts, and keep them healing and helpful — for and to yourself and others.
I’m taking note too, and although I find myself wanting to give people a piece of my mind — I’m putting a lid on it. Oh, time to meditate.
The shadow phase, on the tail end — starts March 18th, and ends April 6th.

Algol Conjunct SN, Full Moon in Cancer, Saturn Scorpio / NN: Its Connection to Brutal Sexual Misconduct Regarding Amanda Todd, the Indian Gang Rape Victim, and Others…

The Indian gang rape lady died on December 28th at 4:45am in Singapore. This is the day when the full Moon was in Cancer, Algol had set in the morning and was conjunct the South Node. The Moon represents (among other things) women and Algol represents “misconduct” which includes sexual misconduct.
And at 8:59pm on December 16th (attack was around 9:30pm it is said) Capulus (male, sexual, and aggressive — Bernadette Brady) was set at Star Upper and parans to the Moon (woman). Capulus was also showing parans to Jupiter, rising at Star Lower at 11:09am. There was also a lot of Zeben Elgenubi action which BB considers “Positive social reform” parans to the MC and AC; however, at the time of the rape Capulus was Conjunct Zuben Elschmali (Negative social reform – Bernadette Brady).
Apparently the Indian rape victim fought her attackers, and that’s when they decided to kill her. This is very much a theme of Capulus/Algol. The Algol influenced male wants to subjugate a strong and independent woman. When she resists, he attacks to cut off her head — metaphorically or literally. And he believes that if he fails, he may have his own head cut off. It’s a myth of life and death.
“She thrashed them and kicked them too. They were boiling in anger by her defence so they decided to kill her. She told me that they were murmuring ‘maar do ise’ (kill her). They threw her considering she was dead.”
And just like I wrote about Amanda Todd (committed suicide caused from brutal bullying — Algolish), I’ve read for the Indian woman — “We hope her death is not in vain” and “Let her death not be in vain”. I think these prayers will be answered. And many are calling for the suspects to be hanged (Algol — losing their heads over a woman).
It seems to me that it’s no longer enough to provide Living Examples such as that of Oprah, Deepak Choprah, and Dr. Phil to make serious transformations (Saturn Scorpio). It seems that much of the world’s people need death (Scorpio Saturn, NN) to shock them into (Uranus Square Pluto) doing what’s right.
Just like many believe Jesus died for our sins, it seems that these women sacrificed their lives and died for the brutal sins of others so that many could live purely, and in peace.

It seems to me that Hell is earth. Our physical Saturnian matter dies the moment we are born crying. It seems we’re on this Earth to be punished, suffer, and be taught a lesson because we’re a bunch of bad kids. And Earth is just a holding cell, or jail. Saturn, the old Devil, keeps us here so that our sentence can be carried out. He does this by giving us some pleasures such as love, sex, food, drugs, endorphins through excercise and pain, and alcohol (for examples). Nothing is random, and we’re all supposed to meet each other to inflict and experience pain, and to teach and learn how to rise above it all.
My natal Neptune is in the 10th, and my Saturn is in the 4th. Neptune represents spirit, while Saturn represents matter. I have lived with this opposition, and believe I understand the world of matter and spirit, truth and fiction, good and evil.
I wrote in my Algol post the following:

I think the Algol men, of women who have experienced their lowest selves, will have their Algol ‘put to rest’ and thrown into the “pile of corpses” they once created. Healing is coming. I do see Saturn in Scorpio now as restrictions due to mature ways of handling Scorpio themes. So restrictions but ones that are coming from being more ‘mature’ about Scorpio themes. I also still see the Saturn Scorpio transit as liberating.
“Amanda Todd committed suicide after being bullied for years. She has fixed star Diadem Conjunct North Node. Her destiny was to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Don’t let her death be in vain.”
It’s possible that the fixed star Diadem is prominent in the rape victim’s chart but we don’t know her information other than she is 23 so born in 1989. That would likely give her Diadem Trine NN. Diadem is the fixed star that indicates a highly public destiny to be fulfilled.
The Gregorian calendar marks the new year as January 1.
January is the first month of the year. In numerology, 1 represents starts, beginnings, initiatives, and innovations (amongst other things). January 1, 2013 adds up to a 8. This day is a power, wealth, and health day. It simply is a wonderful way to start off 2013 — with a bang!
January 1, 2013 is also in the sign of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn.
Saturn is a task master. It likes to oversee, test, turn, and try. And Capricorn is just the right sign to deal with these hardships, and make the grade. Capricorn is a serious and responsible sign, and it’s a great sign to get the job done. So this is a great time to make your intentions known to Saturn, and Saturn will take you seriously.
Now, lets say you slide and you don’t have a lot (or any) of Capricorn or Saturn or it isn’t aspected well in your chart, and you’re finding it hard to make or keep new year resolutions — don’t fret because March 21, 2012* is in the sign of Aries, and it is the next best time to carry through your intentions (New Year Resolutions).
Aries is ruled by Mars. Mars is the planet of action and passion. Aries is a self-starting sign that comes first in the zodiac. Now while Aries is great for being fearless and courageous about whatever it wants, it doesn’t always last for the long haul like Capricorn does. But not to worry, Taurus (April 20th) is right behind Aries — ready to take it all the way home!
Help Predict What Happens to You in 2013 by Manifesting Your Own Desires
This year, I plan on writing out intentions based on my natal chart and solar return and then putting them in a jar. Then I’ll review the jar now and then for how far I’ve gotten and to remind me of what I want to do. If I’m struggling with a particular intention, I’ll put it in a visible place for me to pass daily.
A couple of my New Year’s Intentions
One thing I’m working on is independence. Numerology wise, I will be in a 1 year so I’m doubly focused on intention making and this intention — this year.
The First House
As strong as I am, with the ability to take initiative on my own — with my Sun in the 7th, I can easily become co-dependent and lose myself in partnerships.
So I’m focused on independence and getting my needs met through myself because historically I’ve come second, even if I’m leading a relationship or partnership of any kind. I have also skipped doing something because my partner (business, romantic, or otherwise) didn’t want to do it — rather than going out and doing it on my own because I want too.
I have Capricorn rising, and the sign Aquarius inside the first. I have no planets in my first, but I do have Uranus in the 1st in my Solar Return and that’s in Aries until the summer of 2013. So I still have more to do with becoming fully independent, and relying on my own resources even if there is someone else I could lean on. That has to now become a conscious choice, with the understanding of the future consequence.
The Second House
The next thing I’m working on is fixing my physical self, and helping me make money through my own talents such as giving astrology & tarot consultations as well as teaching it (Uranus on the 2nd, Pisces NN inside — intercepted) rather than through my other business (where I employ other people, and earn money from them because I have a full 8th house including my Venus in there).
I’m very good at fixing others and my own psychology, as well as helping them make money and be grounded in the real world (Virgo stellium in the 8th, with some formidable planets in there including Pluto and Mercury — not conjunct), but my 2nd house is empty with erratic Uranus on the cusp with Pisces NN inside (intercepted). I need help, and I need to help myself for a change!
In my 2013/2014 solar return, the Sun enters my 2nd house. My self-esteem, physical stability (body and resources) and creating a stable income, from my own efforts, are important to my health, in all ways. Meditation, outdoor excercise, body wellness, and spiritual connection to other human beings becomes a priority.
So those are a couple of my new year resolutions, astrology style.

Today, the Moon is feeling invasive. My Saturn Taurus has been Opposing it since early this morning. The Void of Course Moon is currently at 28° 38′ 9″ Scorpio at 20:10 UT time — just riding the critical degree of 29° that Mercury was at yesterday. So it’s no surprise that the Moon has been on my mind, and the mind of other astrologers today.
Awhile back, I asked a group of professional astrologers why we were experiencing so many Void of Course Moons. Along with the mention that it was because many of the Moons were in early degrees (this one is in a late degree, soon to change signs), this reply from astrologer Hal Bahr, stood out:
November 7 at 2:01pm The first thing that strikes me is not the VOC moon periods [how many we have been having lately] but rather the acknowledgement that all the planets representing the great gods of change are in early degrees of signs signalling a new era of sorts and pointing to new places and themes we must revolutionize (this has been going on/building up for some time but Saturn finishing up in Libra has been acting as a braking mechanism). There is a greater and greater push to do tangible things that provoke change. All the VOC moon periods speak to me of what can happen when we use that youthful energy (youthful folly – I-Ching) to initiate things without taking the timing into consideration. Many initiatives come to naught if they were not launched with attention to detail, practicality, and timing. On the other hand I find VOC moon periods to be excellent times to dream, vision, and employ non-linear techniques to problem-solving and to going deeply within to discover creative ways of changing ourselves and coming into alignment with the energy of the times., Hal Bahr, of Soul Design
Late degree signs are also about starting something new by putting an end to the old (what’s matured and ripened — has born fruit already), and all with a child-like wonder. The fact the Moon is in Scorpio right now, emphasizes this theory. Scorpio is regenerative and about ends and beginnings. Also, Mars (the planet of initiation) co-rules Scorpio. Coincidence?!
What was my Void of Course Moon day about?
It was about making a decision to start pouring my long winded writing into books, and then taking snippets of those books and putting them into blog posts (either before OR after publication).
Given that my Virgo stellium is in the 8th (the house of Scorpio) and the topics I write about are Scorpio-like, it makes perfect sense that I made an emotionally difficult decision to put an end to something (that needs to end) when Scorpio was void of course in a late degree. And this had been on my mind for awhile too.
It is said not to start anything new during a void of course, and I haven’t. I’m still writing here. I haven’t begun my outlines for the books I intend to write. That will all happen in 2013. No, this was a time to dream up my future, make peace with the past, and when this Moon has begun to wane — I will begin plotting out my future writing strategy (Scorpio style! ;-).
So this late degree VOC Scorpio Moon was Opposed my Saturn, and because of that I was emotionally damp today. But working through this upcoming change in my writing (one I haven’t wanted to do) — will help me finally get ‘serious’ about it.
