The 9th House: How & What You Teach

What’s in your 9th house or the sign on your 9th house cusp? This is what you can and DO teach others.

And to remind: We ALL teach somebody, somewhere. Even if it’s not formal and at a blackboard.

Consultation Diary (Abella Arthur)

Well, that was a long and eventful day!

(I don’t always write about my sessions but I feel inspired to write about these two sessions)

Got to do a wonderful Kitchen Sink Session with a fabulous Lady who is nearing her Saturn Return.

I started with numerology / astrology / psychic vibes and she was floored pretty much from the start when I told her about her boyfriend. I had listed off a few different careers he could do / was doing and she just listed it back, in greater detail. THAT was surreal and ultra cool. Go numerology / astrology!!

She said she’ll be back to learn more! I hope, because I have a lot more to tell her to help and her astrology is divine!

Then I enjoyed a Learn & Know Tarot training session with M, the complimentary seeker who said, “You really ARE a teacher” (Jupiter in the 9th ;). She also came up with some brilliant insight and said she’s having fun with TarotSeek and is impressed with what she’s coming up with. I’m so proud of her and her tarot development too!

It’s amazing what metaphysical tools such as numerology, tarot, and astrology can tell us about people we supposedly do not know. And I’m so happy that I’m still personally delighted with it. Like, “How can I know this?!”.

I ♥ my students and clients.

In another note: I do love putting my all into everything but I realize that I ought to raise my fees again for first time sessions since I do a lot before and often, after the actual session.

Now off to bed. I’m beat yet content! :D

The 11th House

The 11th house is one of the hardest houses for me to connect with on a deep level.  I wrote about the house.  In fact, I wrote a lot about it.  I probably did that because I was trying to get a handle on what it means.  I know I sometimes wished I had my Moon there but then I probably wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing.  What seems like a simple Moon change, would totally change my world and even how I look.  Hmmmm.

Venus-Pluto: Venus Conjunct Pluto, Venus Opposition Pluto

Venus-Pluto: Venus Conjunct Pluto, Venus Opposition Pluto and Love, Beauty, Money.

Like Venus Scorpio, Pluto Libra / Taurus, Venus in the 8th

Venus Conjunct Pluto has the ability to be sinister or scintillating. Venus Opposition Pluto tends to veer towards being sinister because it seesaws from sweet love to possessive love, extremely and the native hides what is happening and when.

The conjunction creates the desire to achieve a powerful and deep love and artistic works that can be exceptionally transformational or horribly destructive and hateful.

Whereas the opposition, if the native hasn’t healed its oppositional nature, can lean towards being quite dangerous — possibly leading to sociopathic tendencies when and if threatened or betrayed (perceived or real). Manipulation, control, and power subtly mixed with love, money, and beauty can be initially intoxicating. However, as time passes by it’s often toxic.

Venus-Pluto has the ability to manipulate their appearance. They can be like snake charmers in that what you see may not be what is. They may also command a lot of financial power and authority and can make fabulous financial advisers, accountants, negotiators, and stock brokers. They can also make controversial artists.

As usual, I have scratched the surface of this aspect. There are many ways for it to manifest. I welcome additional insights, comments, thoughts, and links for and against. I’ve provided a limited manifestation of these aspects in this blog and will continue to provide insights as time goes on.

And it’s also important to remember that one aspect does not make the whole person.  It’s important to look for other signs  (aspects, houses, etc.) that say the same thing and then that needs to be weighed against items that can cancel out, dull, or brighten it.

This is an excellent article about Venus-Pluto natives.

Biopics: Actors Playing Real Parts

I wonder if actors consult natal charts when playing a real person in a biopic.  It would decrease the time it takes to get into the role.  The actor can search for common astrological signatures and differences, that connect to the story-line!

Celebrity Reading: Beatrix Potter

Beatrix Potter

Born
28 July 1866 (Leo Sun, Aquarius Moon)
Kensington, London, England

I watched Miss Potter last night and I figured there were some difficult Venus aspects that Beatrix had, given her first love died shortly after getting engaged at a late age in life and she seemed to have a disinterest in marriage.

Beatrix Potter has few Venus contacts.  Of what she does have, they are challenging and to add, her Venus is in Virgo: Venus Inconjunct Neptune. Venus Opposition Chiron. Venus Sesquiquadrate Jupiter.  And then she has an Aquarian Moon which make it hard for to get swept up into emotions yet when she falls in love, she’d fall deeply (Venus Trine Pluto).

Oddly, while watching the movie, I got a feeling something would happen to him (because her luck in love seemed minimal) and so it happened…

As for her writing?! She has Sun Trine Neptune (Magical self is enjoyed by many). Mercury Sextile Uranus (Innovative ideas that delight). Mercury Biquintile Jupiter (Expansive creative writing). Mars Trine Jupiter (Gains big opportunities).

Along with a splay chart, she has four T-squares, one of which make for a grand fixed cross (however, time of birth is unknown), and a small talent triangle with the apex being Mercury Virgo.

The movie portrayed her well: Independent, artistic, stoic, willful, masculine with some sex appeal (a challenge to get jiggy with her). With Leo Sun, Aquarius Moon, Sun Sextile Mars, Mercury Square Mars, and an action oriented T-square, and grand fixed cross that sounds about right!!

Though it seems she had a better relationship with her father than her natal Sun Square Pluto would suggest, if the Moon is correct (I don’t know her time of birth), she may well have Moon Square Pluto and the movie did portray great difficulty with her mother. Perhaps her father subtly manipulated her and his environment to make Beatrix believe it was the mother always being the naysayer?

Mercury Rx in Aries

Mercury Rx in Aries (like Mercury Conjunct Mars Rx or Mercury in first house Rx) experiences: Delayed receipt of some mail, reduced trade, communication mishaps, a fall due to water on floor (the sign wasn’t clear enough) — this also could connect to Mars Virgo Rx as they’re in mutual reception, self oriented thoughts that don’t take into account the needs, thoughts, and wishes of others, a lot of excuses, technology not operating as usual.

Most of this isn’t unusual. So pretty much, business as usual for Mercury Rx.

Natal &/or Synastry / Composite: Venus Opposition North Node, Venus in the 4th, 8th, and/or 12th

Fallen – Blank & Jones (Delerium & Rani)

Do you remember me
I’m just a shadow now
This is where I used to be
Right here beside you
Sometimes I call your name
High on a summer breeze
What I would give,
To feel the sunlight on my face
What I would give,
To be lost in your embrace

Chorus:
I’ve fallen from a distant star
Came back, compelled because I love
I’m caught between two different worlds
I long for one more night on earth

Do you believe in dreams
That’s how I found you
But I can’t be revealed
Till you take a leap of faith
What I would give,
To feel the sunlight on my face
What I would give,
To be lost in your embrace

Chorus:
I’ve fallen from a distant star
Came back, compelled because I love
I’m caught between two different worlds
I long for one more night on earth)

We can ignore, resist, or carry out natal requests with glee.

Some signs don’t work well with some planets & that causes trouble. I’m learning not to argue with inhospitable planets, and get with the program. I’m attempting to have a dialogue with those planets and signs that don’t get along well with each other. I am doing this through recognition, compromise, adjustment, discipline, compassion, and acceptance.

New Moon in Aries, 2nd House

New Moon In Aries, 2nd House

Make use of your talents!

You long for a secure foundation upon which you can build your life, and you should now go about achieving this. If your relationship still lacks stability or has become less stable, you can do something about this in the weeks ahead. Get rid of any uncertainties, be open and honest about how you see the relationship developing, and see if your own hopes are compatible with those of your partner. After all, you want to be able to rely on him. If you are single and now meet someone, any relationship which develops has good chances of being a stable one.

However, if this doesn’t happen, you should use this time to work on your self-confidence. Ask yourself what you’re good at and take every opportunity to do this. Make use of your talents! Get a sense of how special you are. This will help you create the necessary foundation for a healthy self-confidence. And this self-confidence is in turn the basis for any good relationship.

Aspect, Planet, Sign Delineation: Many Ways to Read Astrological Signatures

As many astrologers would agree, one aspect or signature does not tell the full tale.

How could someone who loves to sing (me!) actually sound good (maybe) if they don’t have the classic aspects for a vocalist — Sun Conjunct Venus or Mercury, and Venus Conjunct Mercury?!

Well, my Venus is in Virgo and it goes like this:

* Venus in the 6th or 3rd
* Mercury in the 7th or 2nd
* Venus Conjunct Vesta
* Venus Conjunct Mercury

Phew, all from one planet and one sign combination!

Getting to Venus Conjunct Mercury, with this method, shows that I have underdeveloped singing talent!

I may not become a superstar vocalist but I do have it in the astrological DNA or as a signature, though hidden! And it’d be better if it were Venus Gemini (as Mercury has a stronger rulership over that sign)! But with practice, and training I might be able to sing where people aren’t trying to run away from my sound. Ha ha.

Or I might be able to become a one hit wonder (coming out of nowhere, the underdog!). :-)

As probably can be discerned, one aspect or astrological signature can open the reader and seeker to so much more. That’s one reason why astrology is complex (yet simple, at the same time).

When I tell you that I have Venus Virgo, you know at least FOUR things about me (see the bullets!).

You know that I:

* love to talk and communicate with all sorts of people.
* love to serve and I am a devoted lover.
* make money from communicating.
* value health related things such as fitness, organic and natural food, etc.
* talk a lot to my partners and business associates.
* frequent communication, speaking, etc. is part of my daily habit or work.
* show my love to others when they are sick and that I am loved, when I am sick. Also that I get love-sick and love can sicken me! But I love to shower my love on to a partner, everyday! Yeah, I’m an affectionate PDA kind of Gal. ;P

Oh shoot, that’s more than four things (dang houses)!! And it’s still a superficial delineation.

Now with my Venus being in the 8th, I have a deep Plutonic vibe.  I write my own songs and I’ll sing about themes that are often deeply painful or dark in tone (if you discover the underlying occult meaning, that is).

So, I’m not finished with my bullet points yet — with Venus in the 8th, I also have Venus Conjunct Pluto!!

Get more out of reading aspects, planet and sign, charts… feel it, know it, own it.

If there are duplicate or triplicate signatures (ie You have Venus Virgo in the 6th), you’ll know there’s a powerful theme going on — take note.

Here’s another one…

Venus Capricorn is like:

* Venus in the 10th
* Saturn in the7th or 2nd
* Venus Conjunct Saturn

Now, you try it.  Take any planet and break it down.  If you want more of an explanation, reply.  Heh, reply anyway.  It’s nice to know people are reading and if you want it to show up on your twitter timeline, just hit the ‘bird’ image before posting!

Astrology Research: Percentage of Population with a Particular Sign, Aspect, etc..

I wonder if there is a preponderance or rarity of a certain type of aspect like only 1-3% of the population are ENFJ‘s (that’d be me!). For example, I meet a lot of people who have Venus-Saturn dis-harmoniously. Is it just my experience or do most human beings have this aspect?!

(by the way, I did a professional Myer’s Brigg’s test and scored a tie with ENTJ — my business side — but was forced to choose one, so if push came to shove, I would choose ENFJ! — irrational feelings, before logic — any day, but only when it relates to the irrational feelings of others!!)

“My, You Look Younger / Older”: Capricorn Rising

At the doctor’s office today, a technician (who looked like in her fifties but my friend said maybe she was around the same age as me) asked how old I was (she didn’t have that information and needed it for something she was filling out) and I told her. To that she said, “What?! You look like you’re in your twenties”. To which I replied, “I don’t get out much. :P” (lack of Sun! :).

When I was in my late teens, I looked 10-15 years older and I started being told I look 10-15 years younger just before my 40th birthday! ;D

Saturn ruled charts, along with Venus Trine Saturn, and Venus Capricorn natives, have a lot of hardships, tests, and trials but one thing that’s great is that we can look younger in older age! Woohoo…

Which reminds me, I saw some awe inspiring salt and pepper (mostly silver) dreads today.  If I didn’t have a sense of decorum, I would have taken her picture.  Maybe I ought to just get over myself, and walk up to people and ask nicely. :-)

Aspect: Venus Square Neptune in Natal Chart. Mini Problem & Solution

Natal Venus Square Neptune.

Like Venus Pisces, Neptune Taurus. The native imagines the best in everyone and gets swept up into the fantasy but then they get let down when things don’t go as imagined.

The lesson here is to remove high expectations and idealism and remember that there is a spiritual lesson in every encounter and to find gratitude in that rather than feeling let-down.

You weren’t let down by the other (they are just being themselves); you let yourself down! Gain compassion, understanding, and acceptance of the human faults of yourself and other.

Quotes: Why Earthly Humans Can’t Do Without Venus & Mars

Earth is sandwiched between Venus and Mars.

Love, Art, Money, Beauty, Ambition, Sex, Identity, Activity, Women, Men, Femininity, and Masculinity make the world go around.

Earthlings get caught in the middle of Libra (partnerships) and Aries (self-hood).  Human beings feel the push and pull, yin and yang of peace and war, love and hate.

As a whole, we try to express the interdependent space between co-dependence and independence — an ‘at-one’ with others and ourselves.

On the surface, Venus spews her “love, not war”, “we’re in it together” campaign, while Mars suggestively asserts “all for one, and one for all (get it?!)”, “fight, instead of flight”, behind closed doors. We often end up feeling a tug-o-war — an us vs. them.  An I, vs. we.  And yet, it’s neither for Earth.

We ask ourselves:  What is real? Am I crazy? Is it me or other?

As we are showered with Venus (Air, Earth) and Mars (Fire) themes in our everyday lives, we can benefit from remembering that we’re from EARTH (full of water).

Astrology Play: Find Your Niche or Special Offering

Astrology Play: Read your chart as if everything in it is for everyone else. For example, I have Moon in the 8th. I open up the psychic and psychological pathways in others to discover.

Saturn in the 4th gives others a stable and secure home base, grounds others in reality and responsibility in home life. Neptune in the 10th gives people the ability to make me up, to provide magical and spiritual experiences for others. My Jupiter in the 9th Trine North Node in the 2nd provides an expansive and abundant learning experience for others to help them actualize their full potential. With North Node in the 2nd house, I’m also able to help others get paid doing ‘psychic’, ‘spiritual’, ‘dream’, or ‘art’ work since I had the same struggle. Mars Square Midheaven challenges others to get off their behind and fight for their rights and their dreams.

What have you discovered? What’s your niche? What’s your special offering to the world, for your clients, friends. or lovers?

Aspect Delineation: Putting a Planet, Sign, & House Together

1. The PLANets have “plans” for us. That’s easy to remember because the word PLAN is part of the word planet.

2. Signs indicate the style of carrying out a plan [whether that is natural house ruler or planetary]. The sign is like a signature and it says something about the personality and nature.

3. When two or more planets get together they ask us to ‘do something’ extra special.  This is called an aspect. I like to think of it as the type of conversation the planets are having and how it affects us.  Yes, we can be worked like marionettes down on Earth.

4. The planets are quite specific in where and what they want us to do and how they want us to do it.

The house(s) that the planets reside within and the signs that are connected to the house, determine what and where we will carry out the plan.

Update: The sign on the cusp of the house tells us the style in which we display the natural house ruler (planetary) concerns.

For example, Mercury is in Virgo but Aries is on my 3rd house cusp so my style of communication is direct, fast, assertive, fearless, bold, etc.. And I like to talk about health, analysis, facts, the details, daily activities, working, etc.

What Makes an Aspect Minor or Major? (Astrology, Zodiac)

I do not agree with so-called “minor aspects”.  I rather call them “shadow” aspects.  And major aspects — “common or popular”.  Every degree on the wheel has something to offer us.  I’m fairly certain there are 360 aspects out there just as there are 360 Sabian symbols.

It’s all about “patterns” for me…

The clients I work with often have sesquiquadrates (traditionally considered a minor aspect).  I’m beginning to think it’s why they come to see me. They are coming to me for what is hard for them to understand and solve on their own.  They come to me for what they can’t see clearly on their own.

Since I believe people are smart, knowledgeable, and capable — they are not seeking “common or popular” knowledge, as it would be right in front of their eyes (what the problem was)  — they would have already caught on to it and wouldn’t need me much to help them get to the light.

Shadow aspects (minor)  hide in the background.  They are hard to see and hold on to but they are still extremely important in solving often long-standing and difficult problems or hard-to-reach destinies.

Astrology: How To Find Your Correct Time of Birth

Don’t know your correct time of birth, without a doubt?

In Canada, contact the hospital’s health records department where you were born.

In US, order your “record of birth” long form (not all cities have it recorded on there) from the state department of vital statistics or you may want to use VitalChek. American Astrologer, Steven Forrest has a great article on how to order this. Fees currently range from $10 – $30.

Overseas? Check with the hospital you were born at and/or the attending physician or you can try VitalChek International.

My time of birth was off a bit from the baby record my Mom filled out in a scrap book she made up for me. As an astrologer it made the world of difference to know my exact time of birth. And it will make a world of difference for you if you are deeply interested in completely fulfilling your life with clarity.

For example, meaningful fixed stars and asteroids use a much tighter orb so it’s very important to have your exact time of birth when using these.

In Toronto, it can currently cost between $30-$60 to get your time of birth from the hospital. Make sure they know you only want the time of birth or they will charge you a lot more.  If you are not sure about which hospital you were born at, order the long form birth certificate. In the province of Ontario, it can be ordered online. Your time of birth will not show on the long form birth certificate like it often does in the United States.

If you have any questions or comments about getting your time of birth, comment here.

Without an accurate time of birth time (or any time of birth), a chart can still be read — just not with complete accuracy and with much less detail.

It’s also important to know exactly where you were born, location wise.  Some cities are now amalgamated.  Some cities changed names, etc.  For example, the exact location where I was born is no longer seen on a map but it makes a difference in the chart. To be even more accurate, you’ll want to know the exact spot where you were born, if you can (latitude and longitude).

A birth chart rectification can also been done by astrologers. I’m generally within an hour of your time of birth and I do not specialize in birth chart rectification services.

Opposition: Glasses, Look Closer To the Other Side

To orb or not to Orb: THAT is the question…

An Orb is something that occurs when two or more celestial objects and hypothetical points contact each other within a certain number of degrees, based on the laws of harmonics.

I use a wide orb (10-12°) for most planets and the lights and a smaller orb for fixed stars (3°) and asteroids (6°) for my person chart.  In synastry, it may need to be a tighter orb because it depends on the awareness and consciousness of the other native.

Having said this, I have these thoughts about using or not using orbs…

  • sign-to-sign can be felt
  • sign-to-sign shows up over-time
  • tight orbs are used to focus on the strongest feeling the native may have
  • tight orbs are used to reduce number of aspects to look at
  • conjunctions are most definitely felt even if having a loose (wide) orb or are sign-to-sign only

Memorization: Tarot & Astrology

If you want to learn tarot or astrology well, do NOT memorize someone else’s  tarot keywords or descriptions for the cards, nor astrology keywords and descriptions for the  planets, signs, houses, etc.

I didn’t memorize astrology (because when I did that with tarot, it ruined my experience forever) just as I don’t encourage tarot readers to memorize tarot meanings. It does take a lot of personal thinking, research, and meditation about what something means, but it’s worth it.

Become ‘one’ with the material. Own the material.  Yes, there’s a structure and if anything, that’s what I suggest memorizing.  With the rest, I suggest ‘filling in the blanks’ on your own.  And that’s how I teach.

About Astrology, Horoscopes, & Private Consultations

Astrology is a living & breathing system partly based on observation, and empirical study. It’s also a language. Interpretations can & do change slightly, over time — just like words and meaning change in a dictionary.  Astrology evolves, as does any language, with cultural and other changes of the people it imitates and describes.

Astrology is a combination of freewill AND destiny. Paper horoscopes are limited but if the astrologer is good, it will ring some truth to everyone of that sign. It will be vague because it’s general to a ‘sign’, not a specific person. Stop getting the free paper horoscope to help you live your life. The Second House (2nd House): Prostitution, Sex, Money, Self-Worth, etc.

Just had a chat with one of our ‘event readers’. We were talking about self-worth and money. I was talking about how a lot of organizers don’t value our service (because readers, worldwide don’t) and it’s difficult to go over this year after year as to why our service is valuable and why we are worth our professional fee.

Anyway, that snapped me over to the 2nd house. A house that relates to money we earn, beauty, value, sensuality, etc.

The house of Taurus places value on things and that’s why our self-esteem gets affected and ties in with 2nd house issues: Being highly valued, increases our self-esteem.

The 2nd house is also where we find our personal security. Again, it’s often through money, sex, and beauty that we possess. When we don’t have these things, we are likely not to feel secure in our world.

With Taurus on its cusp, and being ruled by Venus — the prostitute archetype came to mind. And many of us have heard quips about ‘prostituting’ ourselves or selling our soul for work, to get accepted as being worthy.

The reader and I talked about how money is often the ‘value’ exchange in today’s world but anything can be exchanged to earn our keep: sex, love, beauty, etc.

When organizers ask us to work for free, readers ought to ask for a ‘tax receipt’ or something else that acknowledges the readers value and that is also something the organizer values. Without it, the organizer can and will not value the reader.

But if the organizer acknowledges the reader’s worth through something they do not value themselves, the energy exchange is null and void. There must be the Libran (Venus) win-win for the 2nd house to be balanced karmically.

If a community or organization has already done something for a reader, telling them how much the service is worth lets them know what you have essentially, paid back.

A debt repaid, and giving back to one’s community, etc. increases self-worth and personal security. Let us not suggest this behaviour is only altruistic and sacrificial (6-12th axis) because it often isn’t. And if it is, there’s a hefty price that you pay.

Which got me thinking… I often say that tarot is 12th house, Neptunian material and this also collaborates my story in how difficult it is to get organizers (for parties) to regard our work when so many tarot readers are making a ‘sacrifice’ in devaluing their work by giving it away for free (ie not asking for tax receipts, etc.) — essentially, telling organizers that we need to pay and serve ‘them’!

Perhaps many tarot readers are paying back a karmic debt in this lifetime but that’s not my path nor the path of the readers who work with us! Ours is to gain self-respect, self-worth, and value!

I have an intercepted Pisces-Virgo 2nd house which is likely to account for why the oft traditional ‘sacrifice’ is being intercepted and has been replaced by a revolutionary spirit in this matter, having Aquarius (Uranus) on the 2nd house cusp.  My North Node Pisces resides inside the 2nd!

What do you have and what does that mean to you? What makes you feel valued and valuable?

Emotional and Intellectual Arrogance: Tarot Readers vs. Astrologers

Astrologers tend to be ‘intellectually arrogant’ whereas I have found tarot readers to be ’emotionally arrogant’. Remember that I’m both an Astrologer and Tarot Reader, a Leo, and can say without a doubt that I’m oft-times arrogant. :P

During your journey in astrology, consider becoming ‘intellectually arrogant’ or rather focused on the ‘mind’, ‘logic’, and ‘critical thinking’ skills. *This* will help your studies immensely. Basically remove the ’emotional’ part (right side), while studying, and get jiggy with your brain (left side).

Then when you have a good grasp on astrology, bring your intuitive skills back into the mix because they’ll be useful when interpreting charts.

So instead of ‘feeling’ things out, ‘think’ them out. Ask ‘conscious’ rather than ‘subconscious’ questions… TONS of them — to yourself and to others… Astrologers are researchers of data.

The Astrology of Twins

If twins have some differences in personality, how can astrology be accurate?

Here’s what I have found out:
a) Every four minutes, the ascendant changes one degree. Every degree matters and makes a difference.

b) My work with clients, who is a twin, has shown a couple of things:
1. One twin is the exact opposite — the ‘evil’ twin. In astrology, as is a general universal law, there is duality — a good and a bad, two sides. ..
2. Twins can ‘share’ chart attributes. So one twin uses it but the other doesn’t.

I have not done enough astroloogy research about ‘twins’. Do you know of anyone who has?

Leos are the BEST Drivers & Tiger-Eye Crystals Protect

I knew Tiger-eye was connected to Leo and awhile back I read an article about a study that says Leos make the best drivers so I find it awesome that the following tip was given on what to use crystals for!

Put them in your car!

  • Placing a golden tiger-eye in your car will help to protect you and your car against accidents. Place the stone in a secure place where it will not roll around or get lost. I suggest wrapping it in wire, attaching it to a cord or chain, and then hanging it from the rearview mirror.

What’s also interesting is that Mars-Uranus can be connected to vehicular accidents (going too fast, sudden accident).

Mars rules Aries, Trines Leo. And Uranus rules Aquarius, the opposite of Leo. Also, the third house (ruled naturally by Mercury) is connected to driving short distances and is ruled by Gemini (Sextiles Leo) while Sagittarius naturally rules the 9th house (long distance travel) and is the other Trine to Leo.

What an astro-crystal connection or rather astrogasm!

The Connection Between Semi-Sextile Signs: The Truth

The Connection Between Semi-Sextile Signs

Here’s an example:
Virgo- Libra-Scorpio
Truth
Scorpio wants to find the hidden truth. “The truth hurts.”

Virgo wants to find the absolute core truth. – “There’s your truth, my truth, and then THE truth”.

Libra wants to find the middle path of truth – “Three sides to every story: Yours, mine, and the truth.”

Astrology & Interpretation

There are many ways to interpret things. I’m glad astrology is not cut and dry science ‘only’ because human beings would be one boring lot. ;P Astrology is an art and a science. Computers largely do the scientific work now and astrologers mostly interpret the positions of the planets, luminaries, stars, asteroids, and other cosmic ‘stuff’ into something that non-astrologers can understand. It’s a language.

David Bowie: Astrology Reading

The best way for me to read Bowie, is probably over time since he’s so darn complex. And Astrogasm is a great space to do it in since the focus is ‘short’ to ‘very short’ posts.

I fell in love with the artistry of David Bowie in the early 1980’s while stylizing my hair with chocolate mouse and listening to the radio. China Girl came on and I had a musigasm in which I proceeded to dance around the room in delight. It wasn’t until decades later, when doing a past life regression, that I found I was a defected Chinese solider in the Han dynasty. I have also naturally appreciated Asian wisdom, art, and aesthetics. I also understand that the title could refer to drugs; heroine.

Anyway, it wasn’t until recently that I found out that a) David and I have an alarmingly number of the same, similar, or interesting natal signatures, b) that our synastry is quite fascinating, and that c) he was very much into the occult, at one point. That’s when I realized we like the work of certain celebrities for a reason! It’s really a mirror reflection of our own great star.

While we are very different as much as we are very much the same, I’ll probably read him in relation to what I know about myself and how he has manifested the same or similar aspect.  In that way, there can be a pure read and deep connection to David Bowie, the Chameleon.
