Marshall Rosenberg: Non-violent Communication *Memnon*

Memnon

“Please do as I requested ONLY if you can do so with the joy of a little child feeding a hungry duck. Please do not do as I request if there is any taint of fear of punishment if you don’t. Please do not do as I request to buy my love. That is hoping I will love you more, if you do it. Please do not do as I request if you will feel guilty if you don’t. Please do not do as I request if there is any shame. And certainly do not do as I request if out of any sense of duty or obligation.” ~ Marshall B. Rosenberg

I’ve often said to people, “Do it with joy, or don’t do it at all.”. Because to do it any other way, would taint the beauty of the giving. And do not compromise your needs. You may find another way than what you originally thought of, but it then ought to become what you want – not a compromise!

A Beautiful Love Poem & Deepak Chopra Sounds w/ Artists

I found this a long time ago, and I don’t know where I got this from. If anyone knows who the author is, please let me know.

How can this be? I do not know who I am; I do not know who you are — Whose heart is this, so full that it forces sweet tears from my eyes? What love is this, so pure it knows no object, so expansive, no one world can hold it? Could it be? Have we met before, only to have forgotten ourselves? How long have we wandered, from dark path to dark path, at each other’s side, searching for what we have always had, for what we have always been? How is it that now, just now, I recognize you, not knowing your face? How is it that I know I have never lost you, when only now, just now, I have found you again? Who are you, who am I? Who is lover, who is beloved? Could it be? Are we Love?

Free Horary Questions by Astrologer: Horary is a Specialized Branch of Astrology

FREE Horary Questions from a STUDENT of Horary

Horary answers your question. Horary loves answering a yes or no question. However, horary can offer an explanation and detail around your question. Horary can also provide advice. Horary is very rule based. You and I must follow its rules, for an accurate judgement (answer) to occur. And coolest thing ever – it doesn’t require a human being’s birth details!! The birth details are that of the question!

Horary is similar to getting a tarot reading; however, it is a) finite, b) takes more time and effort to answer one question, but then you get a lot more out of it too, and c) the judgement is final – you can only ask your question once – no fooling this oracle!

You’ve really got to be brave and bold to receive a horary answer, because the results are often in-your-face brutal! No Neptunian (tarot) wishy washy, sugar coating (by the way, I love tarot — I wrote a book on it). This is SATURN’s domain! Harsh. Inflexible. Testing. Taunting. Taming. Teaching.

Horary results, as what I find with astrology (in general), are destiny based. So while you might have a small amount of free will — I believe that freewill is finite. If astrology wasn’t destiny based, I think the whole concept of it — would collapse.

As a side note: I took up horary when Urania made a partile conjunction to my natal Urania. Or was that the time she presented me with the situation that would plummet me into horary (I’ll check again later)? The last time she did that, I delved very deeply into natal and synastry astrology. After lamenting over a failed and distressing life event — Tweeter, LouiseOfArabia suggested that I do a horary reading; thank you. But I knew NOTHING about how to read with horary, and frankly it seemed like a daunting and timely endeavor (it is) that I never seemed to make time or energy for. Well, as with what happened last time — I was plunged into it. Of note, I finished my major studies of horary as I began them — on the Moon in Gemini around 18° — which is the Moon & ° of the native of said life event. And it is a full Moon, tomorrow. Ha! Everything happens for a reason. No coincidences in astrology or life! Just can’t make this stuff up!!

And in both cases, it helped me find closure to the distressing events! Go Astrology!!!! :D And *bow* to the cosmos.

Please excuse my Saturn

  • While I’m a professional astrologer, I’m a student of Horary. As of December 16, 2013 (Almost full Moon Gemini, now @ 18°53’28” – declination 19°33’07” *)- I’ve spent the last two months, over 200 charts, and over 400 hours studying horary. It is NOT simple or easy – at least not for me. It’s very Saturnian, and rule based. Not a lot of winging it, is accepted or helpful. Horary is traditional (Saturn) astrology, and not the modern (Uranus) kind, that I usually practice. I will likely make mistakes. Take my judgement with a grain of salt. If you don’t like the judgement, ignore it. If you want your question handled professionally, consult an expert.
  • Currently, I’m answering questions about lost inanimate objects and love. My professional practice is focused on love, in general. I have a fully aspected Venus (except for Mercury — because I need to be Aries there!! :D Aries is on my 3rd house cusp, but Mercury is in Virgo conjunct SN and in the 8th)
  • I will choose the questions I want to answer. Just because you left a comment (with your question), doesn’t mean you’ll get an answer to your question. Don’t attempt to appeal to my emotions. I will close the FREE option, whenever I desire to do so (and likely without warning). Eventually I will charge for this service, and eventually it will be a lot (understandably).
  • The chart may not be readable. I reserve the right not to offer an explanation for it — no time.
  • I reserve the right to refuse your question, and not offer an explanation for it — no time.
  • I will use a number of different horary methods. I reserve the right not to tell you which one, or how I’ve arrived at a yes or no answer. Again, it usually comes down to time. So while you might see me explaining one chart, I may not explain another. I’m kind of flakey like that.
  • If I post the chart, I’m happy for ANYONE to offer a horary comment on it. If it’s a negative comment about my judgement, do have some respect for yourself and consider how your criticism is coming across to me and others.

What do I need to do to get this free horary reading with Abella, so that it’s as accurate as possible?

  1. You must contact me (regarding this horary question) ONLY on my blog, in a comment (associated with this blog post). Not on Twitter, Facebook, email, or anywhere else. I may allow location to be privately messaged. ASK.
  2. There is an option to do the horary, when the astrologer comes to understand the question (and base the birth details on that — but I’m not there yet! :)
  3. This must be YOUR question — not about someone else. It can not be a question you’ve asked horary before. You’ve got ONE shot at your question. Form it well.
  4. The birth details of the question: Month, day, year, location, time when you came to understand your question clearly.
  5. Some background information surrounding your question.
  6. Patience and gratitude.  Do provide a follow-up to the horary judgement given.

Gratitude

What is gratitude? Gratitude is showing appreciation, and acknowledging help given — through tangible actions. I’m BIG on giving and receiving gratitude! And it inspires me to keep giving, for free. Part of the word gratitude is Gratis, meaning free or without charge. I’m BIG on people having an attitude of freely giving (without thought on what they get in return) if that is not their default pattern, or if they think they have nothing to give (you do, by the way — stock up on some self-esteem as it’s good for you and everyone around you). I can’t tell you how much I despise takers, really. Can’t. I’m the exact, extreme opposite. I’ve got Sagittarius on my 12th, with Jupiter Libra in the 9th. Though I’ve been learning to take more (…especially considering most people are takers. So this is a positive approach to that). Neither extremes are good, in my opinion.

Gratitude balances things out. I give. You take. You give. I take.

How can you show me your gratitude? Promote my work, websites, blog. Add me to your Twitter list. Join my Facebook page. Provide reviews. Retweet. Share. Etc. Recommend me to friends, followers, clients, and wallowers (it rhymed, so i had to but it’s not even a word, I think! LOL). Purchase an astrology session (Because you’re worth it, and because I’m worth it). Engage me. Share with me. Care about me.

These are just a spattering of ways you can show your gratitude.

I help people, for free, even though I do this professionally (for a living, a scant living — at that). I help people, for free, because I want you to benefit from my experience and wisdom. I help people. for free, because those of us that can’t afford — should get the help, so they can. I help people, for free, because I love sharing. I help people, for free, because they’ve helped me.

Patience

It may seem like I have a lot of time on my hands, but I don’t.  I multi-task, and I really ought to spend more time on making money. Oh Saturn in Taurus, say it ain’t so?! I dream of having a personal assistant, no kidding! Oh, and I’m popular! Wonder why. Oh, I’m really generous with my time and wisdom and I’m usually quite friendly, sociable, and approachable (unless a line has been crossed!). That’d do it! LOL – Also see Sagittarius on the 11th, with Jupiter Libra in the 9th. You’re not the only one in my world — there are hundreds upon hundreds, at least! hehe Many of whom do attempt to have a one-on-one private connection and often inappropriately. Consider THAT! ;P

So, please know that it might take some time to provide a judgement, if I’ve offered one. I’m happy though for kindly reminders, after an appropriate length of time has gone by. :D Note: Less is more, to too-busy people. I am more (writing), but you need to be less (writing) or I will get overwhelmed and tune out! ;P

Horary Questions

Choose only ONE question, from below (remember that I might not answer it). I’m currently only answering questions on the topics below. You can copy and paste the question in your comment, along with the birth (of the question) and background details., Remember, less is more. Keep your writing tight, and clear. Don’t make me think too much. My head is full enough! LOL

IMPORTANT

  1. Make sure your question is important and meaningful to you.
  2. Don’t ask something you’ve already pondered too much (you already have an idea about the outcome), or not enough (too early to tell).
  3. Provide some detail, to put your question into context or for me to watch out for related “strictures” — things I need to consider or not consider, depending upon the background of your question.

For love horaries, you can add your zodiac sun signs — if you like, but it’s unnecessary.

Lost Objects Horary:

Tell me what X is, and how long it’s been missing.

  • Where is X? (X is the lost inanimate object)

Love Horary:

You don’t need to tell me who X is though an initial or initials would be nice. My preference is for questions that will have a known outcome over the next couple of weeks. Why? Because I would like to know if my judgement was accurate or not. Remember, I’m a student of horary. :D

  • Will X come back, by (include date)?
  • Will I see X again, by X (include date)?
  • Is X cheating on me?
  • Did X cheat on me?
  • Does X love me?
  • Will X & I be friends?
  • Will X and I marry?
  • Will X and I have a relationship?
  • Will X and I divorce?
  • Will I have a relationship by (include date)?
  • Will I find love in the next (insert number of weeks, months)?
  • Will X call me by (include date)?
  • Will my partner be rich?
  • Is X dating someone else me?
  • What does X think about?
  • What does X feel for me?
  • Is X thinking about me?
  • Will X like my letter, email, phone message (insert communication type)?
  • Is my relationship with X, over?
  • Is X the right person for me?
  • Does X want me back?
  • Will X and I have sex (sex again)?
  • Does X miss me?
  • What is the outcome of dating X?
  • What will my next romantic partner be like, look like?

YMMV

Do what you will.

States or Stages of Relationship: Labelling

Note: I’m writing this, as if this were about me – it isn’t. At least not right now. :) It’s just a good way for me to write, placing myself in the shoes of each “relationship” type, so the writing is personal. Sorry for the confusion! :D

Current Mundane Transit: Naturally wrote during VOC Moon Capricorn. Naturally published during Moon Aquarius. Naturally means, with little or no forethought.

I’m a woman, interested in relationships with men, so I’m using the term boyfriend.

How do I label who is who?! Okay, lets break it down…

Me (1st house, Aries): I’m alone. I’m fully independent. This is my time with me, myself, and I. I do on my own. I enjoy on my own. I make decisions on my own, unfettered by the wishes of others.

How to Have a Relationship with Yourself

Six Ways to Deepen Your Relationship with Yourself

The Greatest Love of All: Developing a Relationship with Self

Friend (11th house, Aquarius): A casual friend, associate, or acquaintance is someone I see or talk to and/or see once or twice a month — maybe even only a handful of times a year. We are not involved in each others personal lives, in any great way.  We mostly meet for the enjoyment of mutual interests, and causes. Distance is welcomed. And opinions are often fixed, with no overt desire for them to be on your side.

*Aries is Sextile Aquarius — they get along quite easily. In other words, one can can lead to the other quite easily. So You can be friends with people easily. Aquarius is more detached, and friend oriented so it will naturally accept the independence of Aries and not get wrapped up in its fiery nature. Basically it’s not a stretch. And Me (Aries) can become a boyfriend (Leo) because they are in Trine to each other.

4 Ways to be a Good Friend

Different Degrees of Friendship (Christian Angle)

Boyfriend (5th house, Leo): A boyfriend is someone I talk to almost, maybe even, every day. They care about my well-being. They are involved in my personal life. They help out wherever and whenever they can, with or without request. The do thoughtful things like giving me a massage when I complain of fatigue, picking me up a coffee on their way over to my place, surprising me with a home cooked meal or a poem, etc. We socialize two to three times a week. They attend most special occasions such as holiday events with family, my birthday, a work function, etc. They attend many recreational events with me. They’ve met my most important friends, and family.

Friends (Aquarius) may not turn into boyfriends. It can be an easier leap from Me to Lover / Lust (5th house) but I strongly prefer getting to know people, over time.  Growing from the cool Aquarius friendship, to a warmer Leo relationship. :)

7 Ways to be a Good Boyfriend

Being a Good Boyfriend

Companion / Lover (5-11th house, Aquarius-Leo): A companion is between a friend, and a boyfriend. This is someone whom I could speak to a few times a week. They may not care much about my well-being, and tend to have a more self-involved nature.  That’s good, because that means I can be more self-involved too without having to concern myself about meeting obligations that would come with a boyfriend or spouse. I have a lot of fun with this person, and they brighten my life mentally, emotionally, and maybe even physically (FWB). They are not generally seeking to better my life other than through their presence! They know about some of my personal life, but don’t really get involved with helping me solve my personal problems. We know when to give space, take time and back off, and when to see each other again. We don’t get bothered by this inconsistency. We may see each other once a week, or a handful of times a month. They might be counted on for the occasional need, upon request. They attend only the most important social gatherings.

Aquarius and Leo do not get along as much (being in opposition) but there’s still a solid connection. The Companion is the odd man out! This is really the limbo and unpredictable state — bouncing back and forth between feeling close, and feeling detached. Feeling like there’s something more, and feeling like there’s something less — or that they’re could be. Sun Opposite Uranus. So this connection type can have a hard time figuring out if they’re coming or going.

Definition of Casual Relationship

Are you having a Casual Relationship?

* I couldn’t find many good links on how to be a good companion. Maybe because it’s a cross between a friend and a boyfriend, and has a hazy definition because of that. After-all, it covers two houses! :) Frankly, it could go either way — at any time!

Spouse or Committed Partner (7th house, Libra/Juno): A spouse or partner is my right hand man. We are two peas in a pod, and come as a unit. Unless it’s a “me day” with friends, when I’m invited somewhere, it’s expected my spouse is invited too. They know pretty much everyone I know. We speak to each other daily, and hang out often, though we may not have as many fun outings together as we are busy attempting to achieve our ambitions. It’s part work, and part play — whereas a boyfriend or companion is mostly focused on pleasure and friendship — not work. They seek out information about my personal life, so they can help me solve problems that get in the way of our dreams and ambitions. Decisions are made together, as we’re aware that whatever the other does — affects BOTH of us. A spouse or committed partner is a friend, companion, and boyfriend — they fill all roles and we know we’ve made a commitment through sickness, and health — until death (including divorce) do us part. Being a spouse is a lot of work, but there’s lots of rewards too. A shared vision of ambition (even if the ambition is to do nothing!) is essential for survival.

Libra and Leo, Sextile — so get along quite easily. In other words, one can can lead to the other quite easily. So a boyfriend, can lead to a husband quite easily. However, a Me (Aries) does not make the leap to You (Libra) — You and I in a permanent relationship — very easily. Having said that, Me (Aries) can make a good leap to Boyfriend (5th H / us).

4 Ways to be a Good Husband

7 Ways to be a Great Husband

How to Be a Good Wife

Serious relationships start in the 1st house (a relationship with yourself), and end in the 7th house (a relationship with other). Then in between you have boyfriends and girlfriends (5th house), and casual friendships (11th house).

When a love interest wants more from you, they need to be willing to give more.  There’s a saying:

Dress for the job you want, not the one you have.

What is Love? Love is Venus, Juno, Taurus, Libra…

The other day, my talk therapist asked me:  What is love? Frankly, it made me pause. Then I turned to astrology — what I often do when I want to decode life.

Love is Venus, Juno, Taurus, and Libra.

No matter the type of love: romantic, platonic, love for one’s child, or job — the following traits are the foundations or necessary ingredients for love:

Love and loving, and being loved is sweet; hard; affectionate; fair; poetic; growth oriented; committed; wanting to be around the other; painful; causes security, stability, and balance; fruitful; tenacious; interdependent; what we value; what we want to own; beautiful; peaceful; relaxed; open; thoughtful; steady; reliable; loyal; comfortable; natural, resourceful; supportive; selfless; giving; sharing; and a projection.

Note: The above list is NOT exhaustive… :)

We often demonstrate our love to loved ones by making things such as poetry or cards (beautiful, poetic, giving, resourceful, natural, sweet, affectionate, thoughtful, etc.), giving gifts of chocolates such as during Valentine’s day (sweet, affectionate, giving), marrying / partnering with / giving birth (growth oriented, committed, painful, fruitful, loyal, stability, etc), or simply providing a powerful hug (sweet, peaceful, relaxed, open, comfortable, natural, supportive).

One of our goals in love is often to have and offer security, and stability — to provide and receive a home for the mental and material, connecting those two parts to the heart.

Our love for another is a reflection of our love for ourselves, which is why the old saying goes: You can’t love someone else, until you love yourself.

We offer tough love (Juno) when our loved one’s have gone astray. Tough love is not only painful for the receiver, but also the giver.

Love is more often then not reciprocal, though it is given of one’s own free will, and can include much sacrifice and selfless service.

When you truly love, you love for free. You will love without receiving anything in return — perhaps not indefinitely, but definately initially.

Having said that, love is about being fair.  If love is not reciprocated (Libra, Juno), physical (Taurus, Venus) demonstrations of it will eventually dry up.

What does love mean to you?

Do you have love in your life?

Who do you love?

Do you love yourself?

Are you a lover?

Here are non-astrological viewpoints on what love is — neat how there are many similarities:

Wikipedia | Dictionary.com | Urban Dictionary

Love (Taurus) is the opposite of lust (Scorpio, Eros).

Scorpio, ruled by Pluto, connected to Taurus (Venus) is another form of love. And another blog post, one that would also include the myth of Psyche and Eros. :D

Also Pisces, and Neptune (higher octave of Venus) also have a connection to what is love…

Natal Astrology: Venus Conjunct Saturn in the 7th House

I was looking through search terms today and saw: Venus Conjunct Saturn in the 7th House.

Since I have a lot of Venus, Saturn, 7th house, and Conjunction signatures I thought I’d offer a little blurb in case you come around looking for this information.

I suspect this is related to a love relationship, so that’s the direction I’ll take it (as it’s the most usual interest for natives when viewing the 7th house).

Basically this combination (the signs will also make a difference, by the way) says in predictive story-form:

You’ll have a pleasant relationship with an older or mature partner.  You may also be the older or mature partner, who is also quite pleasant and loving.

It’s likely to take you some time to settle down and find your ‘true love’ but when you do, you’ll not take the relationship lightly and will attract a long-lasting partner.  Your partnership will be bound by duty and fairness.

You can bring and receive great financial rewards in your relationship but you may also suffer hardships until you and your partner learn how to combine your resources with restraint and prudence while allowing money to bring more happiness into your relationship.

This is not an exhaustive description (just something off the top of my head) nor does it put the aspect / house placement much into perspective (at least, in my eyes).

For example, if you have Venus-Jupiter poorly aspected — you may feel especially despondent about whether you’ll ever find or be happy in a committed relationship.  But if it’s harmoniously aspected, you will have had many opportunities to partner but have held out!

Quotes:Relationship Compromise

If compromises are fair and logically sound (Libra) in a relationship, they’ll be loved down the road and no one will have felt they gave anything up.

(Note: Saturn Libra is currently at 25° Rx and is opposite Sun Aries 29° and will soon be (by next week) in trine with Venus Gemini, currently at 12°.  I figured I ought to check this since I’ve written so much about Venus and Saturn lately and what do you know — the planets are talking again!! :-D)

Venus Square Saturn, in Synastry

Yesterday I wrote about Saturn’s role in synastry.  Today, I’ll write about one of the biggest aspects that keep lovers apart.

Since I don’t have a lot of time these days, I’ll make it quick.  However, do remember that I offer professional consultations and an appointment can be set-up with me so that I can read your chart in the very personal way it’s meant to be read.  It’s a treat!

“With this being my very first professional reading, Abella was very thorough in her
approach and very helpful in educating me in areas that needed to be addressed.  I
felt very comfortable with her style as she has an ease about her as if I have known
her all my life.  I will continue to consult with Abella and will recommend her to
fellow star gazers!” – Recent Testimonial…

Learn more about Venus Square Saturn on this blog (use search) and my two part series about Venus Square Saturn on VirgoVault (my other blog).

Now on to my thought about Venus Square Saturn in synastry especially if there’s a twin aspect (Your Venus Squares their Saturn and vice versa).

Bottom-line? No-go for most.

Saturn in square with Venus is saying: You have responsibilities, commitments, and duty to another love.  You can not get into a new relationship with Venus until your prior hardships (including financial) and karma are fulfilled.

This aspect, in synastry, is telling the Saturn person that they need to have integrity, that they may be too mature and serious for the Venus person, and that if they want Venus bad enough they’ll have to take the high road and proceed with caution and due diligence.

The Saturn person passes this message on to Venus very subtly, almost to the point of not acknowledging what’s going on between them because the Saturn person dare not suggest something out of line or they may suffer dire consequences and potentially, humiliation.

Time and patience are required.  And the road is long and hard should you desire someone who has Saturn in aspect to your Venus and vice versa.

Saturn needs to be true and faithful to himself (herself) and others (Libra exalted) in order for anything to work out with Venus.  Venus must not ignore this need, and test — that Saturn endures.

If you’re the Venus and you want a pretty, ideal picture of a normal relationship with a Saturn in square — you likely won’t get it in the short term (if ever).

But in the end, it’s always our choice and karma to do what we will.  Just be prepared and plan for the challenges and inevitable obstacles ahead!

If you want to learn more about handling a Venus Square Saturn or ANY Venus-Saturn aspect, I’d be happy to consult with you.

House Delineation: Capricorn on the 2nd, Saturn in the 2nd House

With Capricorn on the 2nd or Saturn in the 2nd house, natives are likely to value: Status, Symbols of Achievement, Money, Age, and Resilience (amongst other things).

This native wants to amass and hold onto wealth, would do best working in executive or leadership positions but often find themselves doing work that is beneath them. But in many ways, this is due to the native limiting opportunities for achievement and authority (out of fear of success) so they undermine themselves and often attempt to stay in their comfort-zone.

They feel most comfortable and able to stay in-love for long periods with a secret desire to dominate or control their partner and having their partner carry out their needs and interests. In fact, they might even attempt to buy attraction or love with the stuff they’ve acquired. Money can’t buy love? Saturn on or in the 2nd would likely disagree. However, its best they learn to get their own needs met, be more self-sufficient, self-managed, and earn love through merit.

In youth, people can take advantage of these natives as they tend to have money or resources tucked away and others want to make use of that.  In older age (after being mistreated in this way) they can become stingy with their hard-earned money, and can feel used and unhappy if someone else (especially young people) depend on their money for sustenance.

It’s important for this native to not become cold but rather to encourage others to make their own way, with their leadership.

These natives may feel like it’s a struggle to get ahead and they can never reach their love, status, and money dreams. But the fact is, they will eventually reach their goals with time, goal-setting, and ambition. Also by letting other people help them. It’s important that they know they don’t have to go it alone and to learn to believe in the ability for other people to get the job done well or even better than the native.

Unfortunately, over time these natives can whittle away their self-esteem and get depressed if their position, what they own, or how much money they have — is seen as not enough.  And they can belittle, blame, or diminish others if they feel that they got in the natives way of achieving their kind of success.

Saturn in the 2nd can indicate a native who earns a living and self-esteem through having a structured, focused, and disciplined mentality. In older age, with determined ambition and taking responsibility for their own actions, they are able to obtain all the personal wealth and status symbols that they desire.

These natives are most suited to earning a living in a solid and hierarchical industry such as big business, show-biz, government, and banking; however, if the Aquarius energy is running through their Saturn, they may work in industries that value science, technology, or teaching. They may find work very stressful as they feel they have little authority to get jobs done and save money in the way they see best.

To learn more about the 2nd house, visit my in-depth astrology blog.

Please also note, this is a small superficial blurb.  I welcome your additional insights and/or corrections in the comment section, especially if you have this placement.  And this delineation is based mostly on lack of awareness of the house.  If the native is conscious to house themes and has been working on challenges, everything I’ve said may not or no longer be true for the 2nd house Saturn native.

And just like looking at only the eye of a person won’t tell you what the rest of their face looks like or how that eye fits in with the rest of the face, delineating a small astrological part doesn’t give the whole and necessary picture of how that part fits in with the rest of the chart.

This is why it’s important to read the whole chart and not rely on delineations like this, as the rest of the chart modifies the meaning.

Venus-Pluto: Venus Conjunct Pluto, Venus Opposition Pluto

Venus-Pluto: Venus Conjunct Pluto, Venus Opposition Pluto and Love, Beauty, Money.

Like Venus Scorpio, Pluto Libra / Taurus, Venus in the 8th

Venus Conjunct Pluto has the ability to be sinister or scintillating. Venus Opposition Pluto tends to veer towards being sinister because it seesaws from sweet love to possessive love, extremely and the native hides what is happening and when.

The conjunction creates the desire to achieve a powerful and deep love and artistic works that can be exceptionally transformational or horribly destructive and hateful.

Whereas the opposition, if the native hasn’t healed its oppositional nature, can lean towards being quite dangerous — possibly leading to sociopathic tendencies when and if threatened or betrayed (perceived or real). Manipulation, control, and power subtly mixed with love, money, and beauty can be initially intoxicating. However, as time passes by it’s often toxic.

Venus-Pluto has the ability to manipulate their appearance. They can be like snake charmers in that what you see may not be what is. They may also command a lot of financial power and authority and can make fabulous financial advisers, accountants, negotiators, and stock brokers. They can also make controversial artists.

As usual, I have scratched the surface of this aspect. There are many ways for it to manifest. I welcome additional insights, comments, thoughts, and links for and against. I’ve provided a limited manifestation of these aspects in this blog and will continue to provide insights as time goes on.

And it’s also important to remember that one aspect does not make the whole person.  It’s important to look for other signs  (aspects, houses, etc.) that say the same thing and then that needs to be weighed against items that can cancel out, dull, or brighten it.

This is an excellent article about Venus-Pluto natives.

I watched Miss Potter last night and I figured there were some difficult Venus aspects that Beatrix had, given her first love died shortly after getting engaged at a late age in life and she seemed to have a disinterest in marriage.

Beatrix Potter has few Venus contacts.  Of what she does have, they are challenging and to add, her Venus is in Virgo: Venus Inconjunct Neptune. Venus Opposition Chiron. Venus Sesquiquadrate Jupiter.  And then she has an Aquarian Moon which make it hard for to get swept up into emotions yet when she falls in love, she’d fall deeply (Venus Trine Pluto).

Oddly, while watching the movie, I got a feeling something would happen to him (because her luck in love seemed minimal) and so it happened…

As for her writing?! She has Sun Trine Neptune (Magical self is enjoyed by many). Mercury Sextile Uranus (Innovative ideas that delight). Mercury Biquintile Jupiter (Expansive creative writing). Mars Trine Jupiter (Gains big opportunities).

Along with a splay chart, she has four T-squares, one of which make for a grand fixed cross (however, time of birth is unknown), and a small talent triangle with the apex being Mercury Virgo.

The movie portrayed her well: Independent, artistic, stoic, willful, masculine with some sex appeal (a challenge to get jiggy with her). With Leo Sun, Aquarius Moon, Sun Sextile Mars, Mercury Square Mars, and an action oriented T-square, and grand fixed cross that sounds about right!!

Though it seems she had a better relationship with her father than her natal Sun Square Pluto would suggest, if the Moon is correct (I don’t know her time of birth), she may well have Moon Square Pluto and the movie did portray great difficulty with her mother. Perhaps her father subtly manipulated her and his environment to make Beatrix believe it was the mother always being the naysayer?

Venus Square Saturn, Being Rejected, & How To Overcome It

Venus Square Saturn on Rejection

Please note: If you want to get a more thorough treatment of Venus Square Saturn, please visit my two part series on VirgoVault.

The native can feel that their love, affection, financial portfolio, artistry, and/or beauty are being rejected and that very well may be the case.

Most of us encounter rejection — not being able to play our music loud at 1am, not getting that loan we wanted, or not being someone else’s type. But it’s how the Venus Square Saturn native deals with normal rejection that sets them apart.

What is rejection anyway? Are you being rejected in whole or in part? Why is the person rejecting something you do, say, or offer? Is it personal?

We all have the right to reject what we don’t like, what doesn’t resonate with us, what doesn’t make us happy, etc. even if we do not get our wishes fulfilled — even Venus Square Saturn natives.

The Venus Sq. Saturn native can do well with not taking rejection personally and to remember that they too reject things, and parts. And it may be their own strong and harsh rejections that makes them acutely aware and sensitive when it comes time for an aspect in themselves to get rejected.

Ve 90° Sa may also want to find out why something is being rejected and consider whether that is something they are willing to change or accept it’s just how they are and they need to find that loan, or love elsewhere.

And a square has the opportunity to become a supercharged trine!!

by the way, I’m Venus Trine Saturn and I recently got rejected for an art installation.  My response: Meh… and NEXT… hey people, look at my artwork. :) Ha!

My stuff isn’t for everyone and I’m sure they have a good reason why they rejected my proposal.  And maybe they made the wrong decision but it’s a mute point because they prefer one thing over another and that’s just life.  Onwards and upwards!! <3

So my suggestion is to strive for my attitude when it comes to rejection, and use the square energy (while turning your square into a supercharged trine) to get you closer to your best match.

I LOVE Astrology

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I LOVE astrology. Astrology puts things into perspective, cools heels, and acts like an operating manual when our system has broke or is breaking down!

Quotes: Why Earthly Humans Can’t Do Without Venus & Mars

Earth is sandwiched between Venus and Mars.

Love, Art, Money, Beauty, Ambition, Sex, Identity, Activity, Women, Men, Femininity, and Masculinity make the world go around.

Earthlings get caught in the middle of Libra (partnerships) and Aries (self-hood).  Human beings feel the push and pull, yin and yang of peace and war, love and hate.

As a whole, we try to express the interdependent space between co-dependence and independence — an ‘at-one’ with others and ourselves.

On the surface, Venus spews her “love, not war”, “we’re in it together” campaign, while Mars suggestively asserts “all for one, and one for all (get it?!)”, “fight, instead of flight”, behind closed doors. We often end up feeling a tug-o-war — an us vs. them.  An I, vs. we.  And yet, it’s neither for Earth.

We ask ourselves:  What is real? Am I crazy? Is it me or other?

As we are showered with Venus (Air, Earth) and Mars (Fire) themes in our everyday lives, we can benefit from remembering that we’re from EARTH (full of water).
