I used my TarotSeek method for this. I didn’t know which week I would be answering. The same question, other than week difference was asked: What will the weather be like in Week ___. And what will be on the minds of the people?

March 1 to 9

Page of Wands. The physical weather will have drier conditions. Dreams of new jobs and opportunities coming your way, will be on the mind. Plans for spring and summer vacations also on the horizon. Note: the current 14 day trend shows dry weather from March 1 to 8th. But as we know, the weather can change at any time.

March 10 to 16

Queen of Wands. The weather continues to be drier. Spring flowers are ready to begin their journey towards the big bloom. Feeling steady and ready for new ventures provides us opportunity to stretch our wings but preparation to return to a possible past, if need be, is also highlighted. Note: Mercury goes direct on the 18th, so going back to the past is definately a possibility. The 14 day trend shows warmer weather but with rain and some flurries. But as we know, the weather can change at any time.

March 17 to 23

Judgement. We’ll have colder weather but sunny skies brighten up our views. Spending time with family and friends is on the agenda. Music is important to soothe our soul, and there might be a musical delight (such as a new album, or concert) that awaits. Note: David Bowie, one of my favorite artists, will have launched his new album on March 12th in the United States. I probably won’t get it until this week. Also when is March break? Anyone know?

March 24 to 31

The Star. There is some snowfall. This winter has quite the hold on us this year. However water, and/or rain will clear the snow and dirt off the streets once again. Spring cleaning and opening yourself up to warmer weather is on the horizon.

Help Predict Your Own 2013: Making & Keeping Your New Year Resolutions, Astrology Style

The Gregorian calendar marks the new year as January 1.

January is the first month of the year. In numerology, 1 represents starts, beginnings, initiatives, and innovations (amongst other things). January 1, 2013 adds up to a 8. This day is a power, wealth, and health day. It simply is a wonderful way to start off 2013 — with a bang!

January 1, 2013 is also in the sign of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn.

Saturn is a task master. It likes to oversee, test, turn, and try. And Capricorn is just the right sign to deal with these hardships, and make the grade. Capricorn is a serious and responsible sign, and it’s a great sign to get the job done. So this is a great time to make your intentions known to Saturn, and Saturn will take you seriously.

Now, lets say you slide and you don’t have a lot (or any) of Capricorn or Saturn or it isn’t aspected well in your chart, and you’re finding it hard to make or keep new year resolutions — don’t fret because March 21, 2012* is in the sign of Aries, and it is the next best time to carry through your intentions (New Year Resolutions).

Aries is ruled by Mars. Mars is the planet of action and passion. Aries is a self-starting sign that comes first in the zodiac. Now while Aries is great for being fearless and courageous about whatever it wants, it doesn’t always last for the long haul like Capricorn does. But not to worry, Taurus (April 20th) is right behind Aries — ready to take it all the way home!

Help Predict What Happens to You in 2013 by Manifesting Your Own Desires

This year, I plan on writing out intentions based on my natal chart and solar return and then putting them in a jar. Then I’ll review the jar now and then for how far I’ve gotten and to remind me of what I want to do. If I’m struggling with a particular intention, I’ll put it in a visible place for me to pass daily.

A couple of my New Year’s Intentions

One thing I’m working on is independence. Numerology wise, I will be in a 1 year so I’m doubly focused on intention making and this intention — this year.

The First House

As strong as I am, with the ability to take initiative on my own — with my Sun in the 7th, I can easily become co-dependent and lose myself in partnerships.

So I’m focused on independence and getting my needs met through myself because historically I’ve come second, even if I’m leading a relationship or partnership of any kind. I have also skipped doing something because my partner (business, romantic, or otherwise) didn’t want to do it — rather than going out and doing it on my own because I want too.

I have Capricorn rising, and the sign Aquarius inside the first. I have no planets in my first, but I do have Uranus in the 1st in my Solar Return and that’s in Aries until the summer of 2013. So I still have more to do with becoming fully independent, and relying on my own resources even if there is someone else I could lean on. That has to now become a conscious choice, with the understanding of the future consequence.

The Second House

The next thing I’m working on is fixing my physical self, and helping me make money through my own talents such as giving astrology & tarot consultations as well as teaching it (Uranus on the 2nd, Pisces NN inside — intercepted) rather than through my other business (where I employ other people, and earn money from them because I have a full 8th house including my Venus in there).

I’m very good at fixing others and my own psychology, as well as helping them make money and be grounded in the real world (Virgo stellium in the 8th, with some formidable planets in there including Pluto and Mercury — not conjunct), but my 2nd house is empty with erratic Uranus on the cusp with Pisces NN inside (intercepted). I need help, and I need to help myself for a change!

In my 2013/2014 solar return, the Sun enters my 2nd house. My self-esteem, physical stability (body and resources) and creating a stable income, from my own efforts, are important to my health, in all ways. Meditation, outdoor excercise, body wellness, and spiritual connection to other human beings becomes a priority.

So those are a couple of my new year resolutions, astrology style.

* Transit Watch Notes: March 21 is the day that Pluto is in 11° Capricorn, and Uranus is in 8° Aries. Pluto Squares Mars in Aries 6° and Uranus Conjuncts it. These are signs (Capricorn and Aries) that I mentioned above. Then two months and ten days later (May 31) Uranus catches up to Pluto at 11° Aries with the Moon (Aquarius), Mars (Taurus), Mercury (Gemini), and Black Moon Lilith (Gemini) all in 29°. Personal Diary Update

WoW, I’ve been ultra busy (especially since the Venus Rx which hit my 5th house).

Has it been days since I’ve last posted?! Whoops.

I’m doing a consultation sale with my regular clients so that has been keeping me busy.

I also got a new Blackberry phone — a few months overdue as my old one (3+ years old) finally died. Anyway, I’m now awake to the world of App’s! LOL And I’m trying to find a good Blackberry app for cycling GPS maps, preferably with turn-by-turn navigation. Am I dreaming? I want to also program my own route and maybe even be suggested one too. Speed, distance, and hill incline are nice-to-have too. So yes, I’ve been biking quite a bit. I lost over 8 pounds in 4 weeks and I think a lot of it was due to cycling because I had some take-out, outside, and restaurant food (though I stuck with meat and vege, skip the bread / high carb items). Oh and I finally got cycling specific rain/wind pants, a new huge bell, and rain / full finger bike gloves. Still need the fenders and back rack + bags for a tour I hope to do this summer – plus rain rides.

Saw the Snow White and Huntsman movie and I didn’t like it much — a forgettable movie except that I can’t seem to forget the cinematography was severely lacking in my opinion. And because of that, there appeared to be a lot of over-acting.

Knitting is coming along. I’m making a scarf and taking classes. This year my family and friends are getting scarves, hats, socks, and other nicely knitted items.

I lost almost 10 pounds in one month. I’m going for 12-13 a month.

Tarot: Tower Card Meaning — Rain, thunder, change, potential for accidents, and uncertainty

Last night I asked the tarot (without using TarotSeek): How will today go?

I got the Tower card. Having originally learned tarot from a book, my immediate thought was BAD THINGS to come (accident, chaos, change) but my personal transits for the day are pretty good with no Mars/Uranus contacts.

What’s happened so far? Rain and soon-to-be thunder. ;-P

This makes TOTAL sense.

It’s still my initial thought (a superficial one due to learning from a book and stuck on what I read which is one reason I now learn on my own before reading what others say!!) because I’ve been riding my bike (Julee – yes, she named herself today ;-P) only in good weather and I plan to ride in ANY weather (I have Aries rising in my SR this year!!). Also, I think there’s a chance for car accidents and I need to be more mindful for the road to stay out of the way of drivers.

(Update on biking: Crazy hard rain weather but ultimately incredibly refreshing and healing. The helmet and rain jacket held up well (upper body nice, cozy, and dry) but need rain/wind bike pants, a fender, full gloves that are water resistant, and shoe covers for ultimate comfort and health. Also, there were puddles of water and while I was so happy sliding down the water I had to keep reminding myself to go slow and break early, and I avoided taking chances. Wow, I am totally into extreme sports without getting hurt!! LOL Someone said they had full respect for me going out to ride on such a day like this. Smile

Update on the tarot card: Well, I experienced a small flame of fire that erupted from my toaster oven and I sliced my foot on a window that was taken out to get an air conditioner in. Very Tower card too… I just decided to stay still after all that and do some work on the computer. LOL… better safe than sorry. Also, there was a major stoppage of our subway system today and electrical problems all over the city — a flickering but the power never going out. This may also be related to Venus Gemini Rx on a Friday (Venus’ day))

Seeking Low Carbohydrate FOOD in Canada (all provinces), Toronto, Ontario, Quebec? Check out this Low Carb Grocer.

I’m currently re-structuring how and what I eat. My body needs less carbohydrates. It’s actually very efficient in storing carb’s (that turn into fat). This is great if I were on an island and needed to survive or was a hunter in medieval or cave man times but it’s not good in a more sedentary lifestyle.

In fact, I would say that fatter people (who got fat through carb’s) would be considered the fittest in the right environment. So it’s important to eat for your type AND environment.

I’m so excited to have found this grocer because a) they do FREE delivery in Ontario and Quebec when you spend over $100, b) the prices are about the same (if not the same) as in a normal grocery store and c) I know that everything in this store, I can eat!

I’ve lost 5 pounds in the first 2 weeks of this metabolic diet WITHOUT exercise (other than a bike ride and walk). That’s right, I have a desk job (work from home) and barely did any exercise and LOST weight!! Kind of scary in a way but I hope to continue to lose this sort of weight as my body is in ketosis.

Anyway…
At first, I thought there wasn’t a lot to eat but as I changed my eating habits and used this grocery shop — I am loving how I’m feeling, I am full, and I truly CAN eat a low carbohydrate diet without feeling as if I’m losing out on anything.

April: Taurus & Aries, Best Month To Start Something New & Invigorate Yourself (New Year!)

It seems like my new year is April.

Year after year it seems I start and revise a lot of things during this month. I’ll revise websites, start new services, etc. And the proof is in published dates!

For example, I’ve had my Jaisla blog going for a long time but didn’t do much with it or rather I couldn’t get it off the ground and running!

My Welcome post was on April 16th, 2009!!

Then, my first Facebook page related to the topic of Jaisla (which is my artist name, and there’s a special meaning to the name!), was started on April 30th, 2011. I wonder what I did in April 2010. LOL

And on April 29th, 2012 I formally launched my readings and portraits service!

It took three years for Jaisla to manifest itself.

Amazing!!

On April 30th, 2011 I set up a Facebook page for my Intuitive Drawings and Readings which I have now renamed: Jaisla Portraits and Readings. Like my Facebook page! :-)

Anyway, I wrote a note on that day at 4:17am the following:

Had a meditative moment with God earlier today that included a cry-fest.

I came out of that with some ideas to do more of what I love while delighting who I serve. One of my passions is art and drawing for two reasons:

To relax and flow, be in touch with the divine within and without;

To open others to new ways of seeing things. I also have Venus Conjunct Uranus, Venus Trine Saturn, Venus Semi-square MC, etc..

I realized that I have been taking the MAGIC out of my sessions with being Uranian and Saturnian for the most part — i.e. Practical, Logical, and Mercurial.

Yet when I looked at my 10th house and saw NEPTUNE there and I said, “What are you doing taking Neptune out of your work? Neptune IS your work.”

Neptune is MAGIC. And I want to put more sparkle into my work.

Artistically I favour surrealism, abstract expressionism, dadaism, pop art, cartoon, and minimalism. I tend to steer clear from realism (Saturn) though I enjoy drawing patterns and like a sense of “non messy” in the “messy” structure…

Anyway, I am going to start doing “Intuitive Drawings” as a bonus to the client for every 3 Kitchen Sink Sessions.

Well, I’m calling the portraits a gift. I caught myself saying bonus again and it really isn’t that — it’s a gift, one that I hope you’ll cherish. And I’m doing this with Face Readings now. Also, I LOVE combining realism with fantasy now.

I hadn’t went back to that page and I actually had it unpublished.

The seven ‘likes’ must have been through a search query because I didn’t let anyone know I was doing this.

There didn’t seem to be any food places around, to my liking, but I saw a couple walk across the street with a bubble tea and they seemed pretty happy.

So I scanned the environment and found a tea palace (my name for a tea shop). In I go and what do I find? After ordering a Taro drink, I noticed the Horoscope Drinks!! LOL Interestingly enough, the only zodiac drink on the board with taro was Capricorn and I have a Capricorn rising! Oddly, I also had Red Bean (The Libra / Capricorn drink) on my mind.

Art Supplies: Above Ground Art Supplies & a Visit to The Art Gallery of Ontario

Visited Above Ground Art Supplies.

Got some new art supplies. A gradient of yellow and orange pencils (FaberCastell) to do some sunny pictures. Some yummy conte crayons. A new drawing kit (Pro Art) with pencils and charcoal. Tiny tortillon‘s for blending very small areas like a tiny eye, and the most amazing Quattro CretaColor multi-color pencil that I thought would be a novelty but turned out to be one of the most happiest Piscean purchases I’ve made.

As I was checking out my new art supplies, downstairs in the AGO, I got a sudden and unexpected stupid grin when I used the ‘multi color’ pencil. I couldn’t believe how much joy a pencil gave me. LOL

So I have decided to start offering portraits with face readings.

Yeah, that’s how my 5th and 6th / 11th and 12th houses (Mercury-Jupiter) works. haha…. My hobbies turn into work. Stay tuned.

Checking out what the new art supplies can do. There’s a sexy all black pencil in there too. Me, wearing all black. Pencil, black. Mmmmm. Sexay! If I do say so myself. ;-P

This has got a Lioness quality to it… I messed up on the lips but this was just practice stuff to see what I could do with the new art supplies. Oh my gasm, I couldn’t stop smiling with joy!

Volunteering: Chatting With Older Folk

I’ve been itching to do some volunteer work.

And after being in the hospital emergency (non life threatening section) recently and seeing the joy in two older ladies chatting me up with both of them basically saying, “Gee, if I want to get social, I should come to the hospital again!!”, I realized again what good I can be to older folk.

I’d like to work with older people (65+)… go in and chat with them. I’m good with chatting, and sharing smiles and love to hear stories of days gone past. I don’t want to do much (if any) metaphysical work.

I have Venus Trine Saturn and a Saturn ruled chart. Ever since I was a teen, I wanted to work with older folk but that never came about but I enjoyed spending time with my grandparents while they were still around. I think during my Uranus Opposition Uranus, I’m wanting to do things I haven’t done yet.

I like older people because a) they have history, b) they have lived through a lot and generally know what’s really important in life, c) they tend to not put on airs — are authentic, and d) they’re stories are a hoot! :D

So if you know a project that could use someone like me (a chatterbox who enjoys socializing with older people — Gemini on the 5th), let me know. I’d love to volunteer in the Toronto area.

The Voice & All That It Tells Me

The voice to me, is the number one attractor or detractor. I can tell the character of a person within their first sentence.

Being a phone psychic, sound is #1 (even if you don’t talk but you at least must make some sound / noise). Perhaps listening for cues to tell me the story of the person I’m reading, is overdeveloped. I can hear so much in sound. Sound carries so much information in it along with the words, and how they are strung together (ie, the order).

I can hear liars, lovers, friends, and friars in the sound that people utter.

Do you experience that too? The person’s voice is more important than their appearance, body language, or their tone?

When I close my eyes to visual stimulus and focus on sound, alone, a vibrant true story is painted in my mind.

Mega Biking & I’ve decided to get out every day…

I’ve decided to get out ‘every day’. I work from home, and get comfy easily, so this is a HUGE deal. And for the next 8 months, I also plan to take my bike short and long distances while avoiding public transit, when I can. So I’m going to get all the ‘commuter’ gear that I can get and get doubly fit.

Don’t know your correct time of birth, without a doubt?

In Canada, contact the hospital’s health records department where you were born.

In US, order your “record of birth” long form (not all cities have it recorded on there) from the state department of vital statistics or you may want to use VitalChek. American Astrologer, Steven Forrest has a great article on how to order this. Fees currently range from $10 – $30.

Overseas? Check with the hospital you were born at and/or the attending physician or you can try VitalChek International.

My time of birth was off a bit from the baby record my Mom filled out in a scrap book she made up for me. As an astrologer it made the world of difference to know my exact time of birth. And it will make a world of difference for you if you are deeply interested in completely fulfilling your life with clarity.

For example, meaningful fixed stars and asteroids use a much tighter orb so it’s very important to have your exact time of birth when using these.

In Toronto, it can currently cost between $30-$60 to get your time of birth from the hospital. Make sure they know you only want the time of birth or they will charge you a lot more. If you are not sure about which hospital you were born at, order the long form birth certificate. In the province of Ontario, it can be ordered online. Your time of birth will not show on the long form birth certificate like it often does in the United States.

Without an accurate time of birth time (or any time of birth), a chart can still be read — just not with complete accuracy and with much less detail.

It’s also important to know exactly where you were born, location wise. Some cities are now amalgamated. Some cities changed names, etc. For example, the exact location where I was born is no longer seen on a map but it makes a difference in the chart. To be even more accurate, you’ll want to know the exact spot where you were born, if you can (latitude and longitude).

A birth chart rectification can also been done by astrologers. I’m generally within an hour of your time of birth and I do not specialize in birth chart rectification services.

Toronto Coffee, Baristas, and Beauty: te aro, TeAro, Te Aro

So I went into my favourite coffee shop today, te aro. I rushed myself in, was looking at the cookie section while what looked like a street bum, was talking up the cashier. He finally stopped talking and just left without anything.

Then I made my way into the same position, looked up and hark, the angels sing — the most perfect and stunning face I ever saw in person looked down at me. I stuttered out my order (his beauty invoked temporary amnesia as to why I was there… lol) and kept wondering why he was working there and that I wished I looked better after my recent bout with whatever and that my hair wasn’t in braids and a ugly hat. I’d also forgotten my wallet in the rental car so I had to go and get it. I did such a girl thing on the way back, I instinctively removed my braids and ugly hat before I got back in. haha

If you’re into Rhys Myers without the alcohol and addictions, this man will serve your eyes well. It must be hell exceeding the limits of ordinary beauty. I mean, really, I don’t think I could stand to face that face every morning. lol I couldn’t even bring myself to ask his sign, name, or anything like that. I was stunned and felt I was nowhere near his beauty level to even have such a discussion — again, I’d just be a stuttering fool.

Anyway, geez — that Aussie needs to be discovered (if he hasn’t already) by a modelling agency. Heck, maybe I’ll call a talent agent and let them know about this beyond hottie — lol…

The barista who made my mochas was the normal range of hottie material and a sweetie. I got a leaf with a little heart at the end. I was just so flustered with the eye candy, otherwise I would have taken a picture of that piece of art. Yum too! At least I let them know his work of art was beautiful and he smiled with pride. Yay!

Who needs to go to a watering hole when you can go to te aro and check out the hotties behind the bar and enjoy a delish beverage.

The Artist’s Brush is the Cross One May Have to Bare

As I left the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), I saw a student (from whom I suspect was coming from OCAD – Ontario College of Art & Design) carrying a large brush made out of cardboard on his shoulder — it looked like an art piece but it also reminded me of Jesus and the bible story of him walking with the cross to a painful outcome. Then I had a thought. The brush represented the cross some artists must bare. Very Neptunian. I wonder if the student had the same idea.

Dating Yourself: Carrot Common “Alternative” Mall Experience

If you’re in Toronto, consider an alternative mall experience. Carrot Common Mall:

1. Relax at Big Carrot Dispensary. Try out the large number of lotion testers for a shot of aromatherapy.
2. Go find a gem of a book at Book City!
3. Then head over to the Organic Juice Bar and enjoy your reading material or do some people watching at the window bar. The monthly specials are very neat. I had a GABBA & Matche Green Latte “Clear and Calm” tea… it did the job!
4. Hop over to Gifts from the Earth and soak in the smells, energy, and metaphysical goodness.
5. If it’s a nice day, take a seat in the courtyard and listen to the birds sing and/or do some organic and healthy shopping at The Big Carrot. As much as I love the store, I don’t like the cafe there. The servers don’t seem to enjoy their work and the food isn’t especially yummy. That’s my opinion. YMMV. I do pick up the fresh baked cookies wrapped in plastic. They’re yummy!
