The Astrology of Hoarding: Moon Cancer 4th house, Saturn Capricorn 10th house, Venus Taurus 2nd house, Pluto Scorpio 8th house

CC-image-courtesy-of-puuikibeach hoarding 009 Hoarding-4

Hoarding is under the domains of:

Moon Cancer 4th house: Emotions. Memory. Our home.

Saturn Capricorn 10th house: Old things. Acquiring, and using. Public opinion.

Venus Taurus 2nd house: What we find beautiful. What makes us feel secure. What we value and treasure. Our own resources.

Pluto Scorpio 8th house: Elimination. Power, Control. Psychology / the Occult. Other people’s resources.

Look to these planets, signs, and houses, in your own chart to see what your own hoarding perspective. Know of someone you think hoards? Look to see if any of these planets aspect in a challenging way, such as Moon square Saturn, Venus opposite Pluto, Moon conjunct Pluto, etc…

I was thinking about hoarding… Whose to say one person’s junk, is another’s trash? What about one person’s junk, is another’s treasure?

I have a friend that saves those tv dinner, microwave plates. I mean hundreds of them! I was thinking how society would think that was a recyclable / junk / trash; however, I got to thinking: They must value this plate. Then I looked at the plate. And it was pretty sturdy, black, and looked like it could be used again and again. But my friend has enough plates, so they’re just keeping them. Stacked high. For years.

I said, “these plates over here are pretty good.”. And they said all happily, “yeah, I have a whole bunch of them, but I don’t know what they could be used for.” And I said, “I could see them being used for mixing stuff in… like paints. Maybe a children’s center could use them.” And they said, “yeah, I thought they might have some use, so I keep them. I should look into that.”

The moral of this story is: Who are we to judge someone for the things they own? Do you even know why the person keeps what they do? What’s THEIR story? Because their story, probably isn’t yours. My friend values these plates.

On the surface a lot of things are going to look senseless to us. So I say: Ignore it, or ask about it. And if the person wants to tell you their story, you’ll probably be pretty surprised. Enrich your life, through difference.

Now, the idea of clinical hoarding is that it’s affecting your life: Work, home, and personal relationships (including the one you have with yourself). If you’re not happy or you’re being stopped from doing something, and your hoarding is causing it – that’s when talk therapy is helpful. Talk therapy discovers WHY you’re doing what you’re doing, in case you don’t know. And it works at lightening up your load.

Right now, I don’t think these plates are bugging my friend. But what do I know? Nothing, really. And that makes me think of the extreme minimalists. Why do they value having nothing? I guess if society would choose between hoarding, and modesty — they’ll go for modesty so that makes minimalism more acceptable. But I think minimalism can have its own problems too.

At the end of the day, I think the majority of us just want to live and die in peace.  So I support anyone, and anything that accomplishes that goal.

Also, often if you’re paying attention to someone “hoarding”, it probably makes you uncomfortable because you’re uncomfortable with your *own* hoarding, even if no one can see you doing it. Judgements are quite often just projections, in disguise.

Projection: Aries-Libra Axis

SHbox2print23

Aries (self) meets Libra (mirror)

When I say it’s them, it’s ME.
When the other says it’s me, it’s THEM.
You’re feeling x. No. I’m feeling x.
You’re x. No. I’m x.
Be honest.

I work with a lot of Aries (1st house) – Libra (7th house) themes. The 7th house, is the house of projection: A hall of mirrors. And the first house, is the house of me, myself, and I. We live in a world of opposites. Most things are contrary to what we believe, unless we learn (educate ourselves) otherwise.

Take the test.
The next time you’re making a judgement about someone else, could it be about you, for better or worst?

We can only see our face, through a mirror.

Now, it’s not to say they’re not X at all. They probably are, and maybe even more X than you BUT, yes But… you’re still X, maybe different, maybe a lot less, and in your own way but you’re still X. So the excercise is to have compassion, and understanding for yourself and then offer that gift to another.

Who are you?
Who are they?
You be you. And let them, be they.

Astrological Sign Tolerance: One doesn’t exist without the other

Astrological opposition tolerance: One doesn’t exist without the other.

For example: A Leo, is just as much of an Aquarius — flipped over. An Aquarius is just as much of a Leo, flipped over. And in the middle, they meld and mesh.

Take the keyword for Aquarius as being *intellectual* and mash that up with a keyword for Leo – *vanity*. What might you get from an Aquarius? Intellectual vanity!

How about a keyword for Leo being bossy, and a keyword for Aquarius – teacher. A Leo might be a bossy teacher.

Now lets use entirely positive or neutral keywords. A keyword for Leo is creative. A keyword for Aquarius is unique. So together, both Leos and Aquarius’ (when firing on all cylinders) are Unique creators.

What’s your Sun sign, what are two distinct keywords for each of those signs, mash them together, and what do you get?

Personal Reflections on the Wisdom & Force of Pluto: The Sun (Leo) Meeting Pluto (Scorpio) in the Strength Tarot Card

The Strength tarot card is ruled by The Sun (Leo) but it also has a Plutonian (Scorpio) vibe to it as well. The two signs (Leo and Scorpio) square off and are fixed, and in this image we see the Lion being subdued.

Which reminds me that one must submit to a Scorpio or get out of its way — there’s not must choice in the matter.  Scorpios are in it to win and Leos really don’t stand a chance, sad to say, without breaking their heart. So the Strength card can suggest bending to the will of another, subjugating and submitting to a pure substance or a force greater than oneself.

And while Scorpios get a bad rap (and for good reason!) they can be here to teach, transform, and purify the crazed soul within.  If you bow down, they’ll show you their softer, transformational, and healing side. So you can either die or cry when the will of Scorpio (Pluto) is being exerted upon you.

Respect is something Leo’s are strong on but it’s important for all of us (our Suns, and especially Leo — being domicile with the Sun) to respect the will of others too.

Pluto forces us to get over our egos (the Sun).  It always requires we acquiesce, and not fight.

With your transits, solar return, or natal chart, Pluto forces us to confront that which we do not want, is not comfortable, is against our every sense of what’s right and just.

You can manifest positive change or choose to be on cruise control or aut0-pilot (which I don’t suggest as that manifests as unconscious compulsions).

You can succeed (acquiesce) or fail (fight back). My suggestion is for you to introspect on what you’ve being given and then let go, give in, stop fighting. When you do that, you will see the light and become all shiny and new again – there are gifts in genuine strength — have the strength to fall-back.

Go to Google and play some music, Gemini style! How do I know it’s a Gemini instrument?  Robert Moog (the developer) is a Gemini and my ex-boyfriend is a musician (and also a Gemini) and he used synthesizers extensively in his music.  I imagine it’s the sound waves that are of great interest — how sound can communicate feeling, or something like that.

ElsaElsa Board Question: Your first clue you are talking to a Pisces?

The question posed on the fabulous Elsa Elsa board was: Your first clue you are talking to a Pisces?

My response:

Ivana so true about Pisces speaking to themselves and to plants, vegetables, etc. when no one is around or when people are around but no one is talking to them. :-)

I also agree with those who said a gentle, soft, watery, ethereal, not-there *quiet* look. But some Pisces, especially female Pisces, can come across very strong and direct (perhaps they have Aries in Mercury or Venus or something like that).

I also agree that ALL the mutable signs have something to do with communicating and sharing knowledge: Gemini, Sag, Virgo, Pisces…

Where’s Your AIR? Where Do YOU Breathe Clarity Into Your Own Life as Well as Others?

Wherever your air sign planets and asteroid (Venus, Juno, Mercury, Saturn, and Uranus) are placed, shows mental clarity. Same goes for the signs Libra, Gemini, Virgo, and Aquarius.

For example, I have Mercury Virgo in the 8th so I tend to have clarity about psychological health, sex, control, accounting, trade and commerce, body works, and occult subjects.  Initially this clarity is used to help other people but eventually I learn my own mind, etc. and these subjects (including the occult) to help myself.

What have you found interesting about your chart in regards to where your air signs / planets / asteroids are?

Astrology: Pluto in Leo, Like Sun Conjunct Pluto, Leo Square Scorpio

Someone said Leo’s scared them after I told them that someone they might want to contact, about a language related topic, has Pluto Leo in the 9th house and would likely be able to answer their question.

My response was: Pluto Leo is even scarier — that combines Scorpio and Leo energy which are naturally square to each other.  And it’s like having Sun Conjunct Pluto (often challenging, due to the natural square). That combination can mean: Powerful self, Creative depth, Destructive force, Occult leader, etc.

She shared this video and the over-the-top character (radio talk show host) seems so Pluto Leo!

By the way, I’m a Leo Sun. ;-)
Hope I don’t scare them too much!

Uranus: What Do You Need To Feel Content

Want to feel content? Look to the sign that Uranus is in.

My Uranus is in Libra.  I need harmony, partnership, beauty, sweetness, delightful conversation, love, art, music, and balance to feel content.

If I have this, I 1) sleep like a baby, and 2) I smile a lot.

I generally feel very comfortable, yet intellectually stimulated, around Libra Sun’s because they don’t upset me. In fact Libra’s have a calming effect upon me.

This is also why having a Mercury-Venus contact with someone, in syanstry, is VERY important to me whereas it might not be as important for you to have.  I need that because I have strong Mercury-Venus in my chart and I want, like, and need to speak my truth but, in harmony.  However, with Mars in the 7th and on the 3rd, it’s a challenge with most people. So a Venus person, who is Mercurial (preferably Virgo), cancels that trouble out!

But of course, it’s not really as simple as that.  There are so many moving parts in a chart.  However, this is how I begin to personalize your natal chart when I read it.  There’s no blog post or report that can currently do this.

So back on track — this is one reason why it’s important to have a harmonious connection between your Sun and someone else’s Uranus and vice versa.  If it’s disharmonious, it causes discontent. In that vein, this also means that if you have a disharmonious Sun-Uranus contact natally, you are likely to feel discontent.

And note that (Sun) Leo is Opposite to (Uranus) Aquarius naturally, so there’s already a planetary disharmony (that can be adjusted).

Another Uranus-sign delineation?

Uranus Scorpio may need sex, secret investigations, power (em), control (self), and tarot reading (for examples) to find contentment.

What’s your Uranus in and what do you need to feel content?

Life Skills: Trying Different Things Out

I think I try a lot of different things because a) I have Gemini on the 5th and 6th house cusps, b) I like to try my hand at a lot of different things just because it’s fun, and c) It’s a great way to figure out if I have any talent in anything or if something works well. haha…

So don’t be shy. Take a page from me. Make lots of mistakes, maybe even a fool of yourself.

Even if you don’t think you’re good at something, try it anyway and share it. See if people like it. If they don’t, maybe don’t spend as much time on it ;-P or if you love it badly, spend even MORE time developing it.

Libra, Leo, Aquarius, Gemini Love Learning From Me

Later degree Libra, Leo, Aquarius, Gemini Suns love learning from me because of my Jupiter in the 9th house. Aries, Leo, Sag, Aquarius also enjoy learning from me as I have Mars on the 3rd house cusp. Having said that, it is a Mars placement so there could be competitive, overly aggressive, or testing elements there.

Other signs will enjoy learning from me as well because it’s not just the Sun sign.  I’ll just make those Sun signs feel great while they are learning from me but say you have those signs in your Ascendant, Moon, Mercury, or Venus we may get on very well with each other too!!  And, of course, since I’m teaching occult subjects — anyone with Virgo will benefit greatly from and admire my style of teaching.

Also, my Jupiter is late degree and Uranus is early degree Libra.  I could also expand the consciousness of early degree Scorpio, for example. Basically if you feel good about how I express myself (wisdom), you’ll probably enjoy learning from me.

Where’s your Mars? What do you ignite others to act upon or be assertive and self-oriented? For me, my Mars is in the 7th. I inspire others to assert themselves in partnership with me. I encourage partners to get their needs met while meeting the needs of the other. The style (Leo) in which I do this is dramatic, animated, dominant, warm, and friendly.

Aspect Delineation: Putting a Planet, Sign, & House Together

1. The PLANets have “plans” for us. That’s easy to remember because the word PLAN is part of the word planet.

2. Signs indicate the style of carrying out a plan [whether that is natural house ruler or planetary]. The sign is like a signature and it says something about the personality and nature.

3. When two or more planets get together they ask us to ‘do something’ extra special.  This is called an aspect. I like to think of it as the type of conversation the planets are having and how it affects us.  Yes, we can be worked like marionettes down on Earth.

4. The planets are quite specific in where and what they want us to do and how they want us to do it.

The house(s) that the planets reside within and the signs that are connected to the house, determine what and where we will carry out the plan.

Update: The sign on the cusp of the house tells us the style in which we display the natural house ruler (planetary) concerns.

For example, Mercury is in Virgo but Aries is on my 3rd house cusp so my style of communication is direct, fast, assertive, fearless, bold, etc.. And I like to talk about health, analysis, facts, the details, daily activities, working, etc.

The 8th House, Virgo Stellium & Knowing the Truth Before You Do!

I was chatting with a friend on Facebook and we got to talking about how I want to believe what people say to me but I have had to stop believing in the lies they tell themselves to ensure safety, security, well-being, and good flow.

“I crack up because most the time I think, “Is this person that stupid to think I don’t see through their mud pile of dung?” It’s a really funny thing we experience with [Virgo] 8H stellium…. We [know] things before the actual individual knows.” ~ DarbyDarcy

I’ve said a number of times to intimates:  Do you think I’m THAT stupid? That offends me.

I have to remind them I’m not a norm buying or pretending to buy their crap. Few people don’t know the past, present, future like I do, like an 8th house Virgo stellium does.

What’s cool is that DarbyDarcy isn’t even a professional psychic, like I am. She’s just an 8th house Virgo stellium, like I am. That makes what she says go even further than it already does…

It’s actually pretty annoying to be right.  We often want to be wrong.

Respect is a big thing for me, so for the longest time I treated people the way I would want to be treated. Bad move. When I speak, I speak with personal clarity and thought. My natural inclination is to think that other’s do that too.  That they think of consequences, the well-being of the person/s their responsible to, and important minutia. But they rarely do.  They’re in the moment. They’re into themselves.

So that’s another ‘popular line’ that isn’t my karma. My karma is NOT to treat people the way I would want to be treated. Why? Because most people are nothing like me. They play by a different set of rules (NorthEast ones) and I need to play by ‘their’ rules, not mine (SouthWest). It’s only fair.

The 8th House in Virgo: House of Privacy, Intuition, and Intimacy

Some peeps are just going to have to go through the Plutonian fire wheel of tests before they are let in.

They can scream paranoia and too private all they want;  but 8th house, Scorpio, Pluto, Virgo stellium people — don’t buy what they’re selling.  Their intuition is not as sharp (don’t easily believe the lies people often tell themselves) nor is their integrity.

A certain level of privacy is important to me. Intimacy is something that is earned over time, and given when comfort is there. Many people do not understand or care about the fragility of others.  They often do not hold the secrets of others very well.  A well-adjusted 8th house person  does, especially a Virgo stellium in the 8th house.  The gravity of some people’s casual and random intrusion is often not understood by them. I get that they believe they’re being harmless, but they’re not. If a person has a depth of character and sensitivity, their spirit can be easily screwed with.

Anyone who respects someone else would not be so readily and bossily nosy when they have no right, connection, invitation, or privilege to do so.

Pestering ought to be met with rudeness if nosy people try to move past boundaries! In the past, I would have felt it wrong to be rude but some people do not take a simple “no, I’m not comfortable sharing that” with graciousness. Today, I recognize the other person is being rude so being rude back is fine if that’s what is needed to get the point across.

The other annoying thing is that people who are nosy and have an expectation for you to share your secret bits, often are quite secretive themselves and have little intention of reciprocating the one way telephone conversation.  Go figure!  The world is backwards!

Goading anyone into telling you their secrets is not the way to open them up; it’s classless.

The best way to deal with that classlessness is to give them some of their medicine and pester them about sharing something personal about themselves.  Watch how fast they try to squirm out of it or lack disclosing anything of importance to them (similar to of what has been asked of you).

I see people. I see you.  That’s what I do for a living. See. If I don’t openly call you on your crap, there’s a good chance I’m just being Venusian.

p.s. Celebrities, and people who earn a large chunk of their living from public affairs, are by the nature of what they do, often exempt from a certain level of prying by the general public and commentators.  It’s not really the same thing when reporters, etc. are trying to get the story of their lives out of them or is it??

Leos are the BEST Drivers & Tiger-Eye Crystals Protect

I knew Tiger-eye was connected to Leo and awhile back I read an article about a study that says Leos make the best drivers so I find it awesome that the following tip was given on what to use crystals for!

Put them in your car!

  • Placing a golden tiger-eye in your car will help to protect you and your car against accidents. Place the stone in a secure place where it will not roll around or get lost. I suggest wrapping it in wire, attaching it to a cord or chain, and then hanging it from the rearview mirror.

What’s also interesting is that Mars-Uranus can be connected to vehicular accidents (going too fast, sudden accident).

Mars rules Aries, Trines Leo. And Uranus rules Aquarius, the opposite of Leo. Also, the third house (ruled naturally by Mercury) is connected to driving short distances and is ruled by Gemini (Sextiles Leo) while Sagittarius naturally rules the 9th house (long distance travel) and is the other Trine to Leo.

What an astro-crystal connection or rather astrogasm!

Stevie Nicks: Pluto Leo in the 5th, Death of a Son – The Sun

Regarding the recent mini Stevie Nicks celebrity reading I did,  I learned in an article I read today, that marrying Kim (her best friend Robin’s widow) came with a boy.

I went crazy – absolutely crazy when Robin died. The only thing I could think of to do was try to take the load off Kim by marrying him and helping raise their son.

I think in her heart Robin knew I would go after Kim,” Stevie continues. “I had known her for 20 years and him for five, and I felt this baby belonged to me almost as much as it did to them.

After 3-8 months of being married, they had a divorce. With that, at the time of the article she had not seen Matthew again. I don’t know if she’s seem him since.

To me, this backs up my thought that if she did have a child it’d probably be a boy and he would die. Essentially that is what happened.

Having children, being married, and all the other Saturnian trappings of earth isn’t for everyone.  It’s especially difficult for women who have a drive that mimics the style of men (ie Sun Square Mars). With her Saturn Conjunct Pluto in the 5th, it seems to say quite literally “death of social activity and the restrictions that come with it”.  Social activity such as marriage, having children, etc.

Celebrity Astrology Reading: Stevie Nicks – Children & Marriage

This image was taken from AstroTheme. Please go there to get more detail on the chart, etc.

Stevie Nicks Natal Chart

From Wikipedia:

In a 1989 interview, Stevie gave personal insight as to the meaning of Rooms on Fire:

Rooms on Fire is about a girl who goes through a life like I have gone through, where she finally accepts the idea that there never will be those other things in her life. She will never be married, she will never have children, she will never do those [that] part of life.

We all have our own path, our own karma. Children, spouses, and the traditional trappings isn’t for everyone. I’m just thoroughly impressed that Stevie Nicks knew this or got an astrology consultation to make her aware of it — maybe she even gave herself an astrology consultation.

No children is indicated by Saturn and Pluto in her 5th house but it’s made more difficult by being conjunct. Leo is also one of the barren signs. You would think that wouldn’t be the case since Leo is playful and child-like but that’s exactly why Leo on the 5th house cusp can cause barrenness. That placement suggests the native is a child themselves and can not be responsible. And any child she would have had (probably a boy) would quite possibly have died.

In regards to lack of marriage, in her romance and dating house (the progression from dating to marriage) she more than likely had destructive romances that tested her will (Mars Conjunct Pluto). In her 8th house (House of Domination) she has South Node Conjunct Chiron (I use wide orbs). Marriage wounded her in a past life and continues to wound her. Neptune (which is square her Venus) is near this house cusp (the 6th house, House of Submission) and it’s here where she would attract men of addiction, fantasy, and illusion. In fact, she would likely have this as part of her nature as well — perhaps wanting to be Cinderella and finding her Prince but no mere mortal man could ever be a true fairytale Prince. With the house cusp having the sign in Libra, we have a house that is ruled by Venus and Juno. Any committed partnership could be met with mind games and mental abuse.

She did marry but it was for convenience and surrounding a long time chronic illness of her friend (she married her friend’s widow) – see South Node Conjunct Chiron in the 8th.  Perhaps it was a karmic debt repaid..
